Hiya girls, I'm seriously considering going to the docs for a blood test (eek, I hate needles!) as I am now CD56 with not a single sign of AF.

I know my cycles are irregular but I've never counted the days as I've never been TTC before so not really seen a reason to count the days!

If I'm totally honest, I don't feel like my AF is coming at all but that could just be the hopeful side of me talking there. :p

I've only got v. sore/sensitive nipples which look slightly swollen and a bit darker but again, could just be me! I seem to have gotten a few spots as well which is unusual as well.

I'm not really stressed out because I know my cycles can be long and I've been really chilled to be honest this cycle, albeit a bit frustrated about things.

I have done ebay cheapies and two FRs, one of which didn't work properly and I'm getting BFNs.

I'm sure I must have OVed as I've had the stretchy CM etc and then a dry period and even had a few days of what I think was implantation and yet still no period.

There's a history of low hormone production in my family as my two sisters didn't get BFPs til they were quite far on in their first tri.

At least a blood test would tell me if the hormone is being produced etc. I did say to hubby maybe we could wait and see if a bump forms LOL!

I reckon a doctors appointment would be the best thing to just reassure us of what's happening, I've been tested for PCOS and I got the all clear, hubby has had tests done in a prev relationship and is also all clear so that's good.

Can anyone let me know what the doc can offer us aside from blood tests? I'm sure I've read that some clinics offer a free scan service but I doubt it??

I'll stop waffling now lol.

I will do thanks girls. :)

I started panicking that I hadn't OVed as apparently with long cycles, it's possible no ovulation takes place. But I reminded myself of all the fertile CM I had and noted that CM dries up after OV which has happened, I don't get it anymore. I had a few days last week where I had so much creamy CM that it was soaking my undies but I haven't had as much since. x x

Sharp pains in my boobs, OUCH! Actually making me wince as well. I hope they're for a good reason. x x

Hi Hun!

Yeah you really should go to the docs and ask for a blood test, they might be reluctant to do one so maybe tell them you've had a BFP a few days ago and the line has got lighter or something.

Just so you know my Mums friend at work is pregnant and she didn't show on tests until week 7 even at the docs but she just knew she was as her symptoms were like her first pregnancy.

I don't think you'd see anything on a scan yet Hun...

xx

I don't think I'd want a scan done - it would be worse than seeing a BFN lol!

Would they really be reluctant??

I thought because my cycle has gone on and on they would understand lol.

My sister didn't get a BFP til she was 9 weeks so I know that it can take a while, I just hate not knowing if I'm waiting for AF or for a BFP!

Thanks for the reply hun. :D x x
