I have had pain all night with what I think might be braxton hicks? Not had a single hour sleep:roll: do you get that aswell and how long does it last?? xx

Ur tummy should tighten with each pain...
I've had these since 16w they can get v unpleasant :( some people are lucky enough not to feel them, my Sister ws due yesterday and she's only had some this past week.. Even though they actually start at 7w!

I get them now. Not really noticible sometimes, not painful but it feels like when baby does that whole tummy move, you know, when they seem to roll all the way from left to right? Just tight feeling..... It could be early labour you are getting - you can get this 2 weeks before actually giving birth....

I had them twice I think. Once after I had a big O :) And then just one random evening. It felt like my whole tummy just got tight and hard. It wasn't painful, but walking/doing things at the same time was a bit uncomfortable. It was gone in a couple of mins though.

It has been a nightmare for the last couple of days- I have them every day. My tummy goes all hard and I get pain in my lower back( but top of my tummy ), I am dreading to think what the real ones will be like.

I have had these every day since about 31 weeks, sometimes they hurt and sometimes they dont. its normal so dont worry!

It might not be BH if you describe it as painful, i'd say they are occasionally uncomfortable but I dont think they should be painful. BH is where all or a bit of stomach tightens, like someone putting a belt really tight around you.

:)

yeh id say they not painful but this is my third and maybe my body can handle it a bit better? i not sure hun i say when he kicks or rubs his head right down hurts more then the hicks but like i said if this is your first baby can be a bit more painful for u x

ppl say they arent painful but BH can be that painful women think they are in labour - trust me i know lol

you only need to be concerned if they are regular, increase in length and intensity, or your waters break (this doesnt always happen btw)

I definitely have painful BH, I dont think labour can be that slow

I described it to my obstetrician as someone pulling a drawstring bag tight through my belly button - it took my breath away and woke me up! Also mentioned period type pains. She said it all sounded like BH. X

Edited to add - they were intense to sort of painful so some def feel pain x

I've been getting loads lately, not really painful but make me stop and have to sit down till they pass.
Very strange.

I've had them once so far. Although I think I have. I ended up in PAU later that day getting checked out as I had a UTI. So possible could if been pain from that, I'm not sure... Havent had it since, so a bit confused if it actually was.

xxx

I've been getting them since around 19 weeks at least 10 a day, sometimes they take my breath away and I need to stop what I'm doing but I wouldn't say they were painful just uncomfortable and I'm very aware of them happening. They kind of radiate from very low down until my whole tummy is very hard and tight and lasts around a minute.
