has this happened to anyone else? im nearly 7 weeks and this is my third but i already look like i have a bump. my clothes hurt!!! i normally a size 8 so i slim but i really do look pregnant all of a sudden. im not trying to look pregnant my tummy has just gone hard and swollen and definately to big for this early stage. maybe it is just because it my third and my skin not as tight as it used to be!!

let me know if you are like this and if any one has resorted to buying maternity clothes this early!

hi there, yes i was the same at that stage, this is my 3rd and i have been in maternty stuff since 10 weeks, before that i just brought bigger sized trousers

Sarah -

I was looking at Pregnancy and Birth magazine the other day and it advertised a little elasticated insert for your pants so that you can continue to wear your favourite clothes. Maybe this might be what you need? I think I might send away for one too! I'll look it up and see if there are any details about where it's available etc...

There was also a "belly bra" that is basically a support top for your bump as it gets bigger!

I wasn't goint to get one of those extender belts but due to a bit of a trauma actually finding maternity jeans that I like, I might just extend my jeans instead.

I have tried on virtually every pair going. And the ones that do look suitable are out of stock. Looking forward to getting the autumn winter next directory to see what they have got

Maternity jeans are annoying! :( :D

Hi,

I am nearly 7 weeks and already in elasticated waists.....this too is my third.

It's a horrid stage as you don't really look pregnant you just look and feel fat and bloated.......bring on the bump!!!!

Yes, I feel as though I am at a really awquard stage.

I have got lots of lovely 'normal' clothes and I'm also getting quite a nice colection of maternity clothes. But at the moment I don't really fit properly into any of them!

I was invited out on sunday night and I knew I would be socialising with lots of trendy, non-pregnant people and I was really addled about what to wear. Did I squeeze into normal clothes and feel uncomfortable or did I wear maternity things and look fat.

You are right! Bring on the bump! Then a decision will be easier!

Ohhh i know i had to go out on saturday, and the girls told me i wasnt aloud to dress down, cos i love my jeans and always wear them on a nite out. So i had to squezze myself into a pair of black trousers, was so uncomfortable and felt so fat. I couldnt afford to buy ne thing new then cos it was either go out or buy clothes. But hopefully im gonna go on a little shoppin spree for some maternity clothes, i need to i go some events coming up that i need to pepair for (weddin, wrks do, meal for mates b'day etc etc) and refuse to be uncomfortable this time, evn tho i will still feel like i feel fat. Lol there is no winnin.

I to say bring on the bump, people may fogive me for not lookin my best then, lol.
