Milk starter kit in case boobies don't kick in!



For me I have

I haven't packed... I have kind of thrown a few bits at my case that I will pack at some point. I'm so confused by sizes to take - my c section is at 36+4 weeks but baby was estimated 5lb9oz at 33 weeks. I have newborn/up to one mth which all say up to 10lb. Do I need any smaller or do I just take those and send people out for supplies if we need smaller? My son was 10lb and just squeezed in newborn so I have no experience of smaller baby clothes! X

I would have thought the newborn clothes would be fine. I was given tiny baby stuff but I don't think I will be needing them. X

Cannot believe how quickly time is passing now. I have been feeling really sick the past few days and baby is having a proper flip about inside.

I measured 28.5cm at my 31 week midwife appt so I think I will ask if I am still measuring behind next time if there would be a chance of getting a growth scan. All I hear from everyone is how small my bump is and that no way I can be 31 weeks!

That's all I get too - I hate it. Bloke at work today kept tellingme how I looked so much bigger than in my last pregnancy, he didn't just say it once but went on and on. Guess big or small people need to think before they speak.

Last day at work for me tomorrow - and then two weeks till baby time!

It pisses me off how people think it is appropriate to comment on your size when pregnant. You'd never go up to a non pregnant woman in the street & say your belly is big or small. People keep saying I'm small but at 31 weeks I was actually measuring a week ahead.

I was at my diabetes clinic today and one of the girls was 28 weeks but measuring 41 weeks!!!! Think I will stop complaining that I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead haha xx

Hi all. So had growth scan today... Baby still small but tracking along ok. Consultant says no worries at the min.

Got section date !!! Baby no2 will be here 17th december.... Feels very strange knowing I have a date when baby will be here! No waiting around this time as dd went two weeks over and had to be induced. Plan is home for Christmas yey!

One small issue of a trace of protein in urine don't know what that could mean though they didn't really say but did send sample off for further checks. We shall see! X x

Had my hypnobirthing course today. Found it really informative & will definitely be practising at home..especially bit where hubby has to run my back & stroke my arm! Has anyone else done the course? X

Kellylou - I would say half organised! I've don't lots of washing, bought a few essentials but need to start outing together hospital bags etc.

Very strange having an actaual date. 7 weeks and I'll be home with a baby! (As long as all goes to plan!)

Lucyllastic i think the time o year really swayed me with the elective section! The thought of being in hosp on Xmas day when the 4yr olds at home was awful. Here were obviously other factors too but it definately contributed to the decision! Fingers crossed baby plays ball and arrives in time for Christmas day!

How's wveryobea preparation going?! Hope ppl ok. 20working days left and counting! Xxx

Got 14 days left at work now..can't wait to finish!

My baby hospital bag is packed now..bar 3 up to 7.5lb baby grows.
My hospital bag just needs a few bits..toothpaste, hairbrush, charger, food & drink plus some bits for entertainment..I pod, book.

I'm due 19th so really hoping that this baby takes after its mummy & is early or on time. Any time after 37 weeks I'll be happy! X

You ladies put me to shame. I've not packed my bag - I think I've got everything to go in it tho... Pretty much all washed. Need to sort into sizes and pack. I've got to take one small bag for theatre and then can have a bigger one in the car for hubby to bring in. 10 more sleeps for me xx

Don't worry Becky, I have not even bought a hospital bag, nappy bag or anything to go into them!!! Eeeeek :s I have a list though. xx

Just popping by to say good luck to you all due around Christmas! Last year I was in your position and my beautiful, punctual little girl was born on 20th December. It was such a lovely time to give birth because everyone is excited at that time of year and the ward was all festive but I remember at this time I was counting down the days until mat leave! This time I'm due in March and I'm sure it will be just as exciting but I'll be thinking of you all in December! X
