***********December 2015- Final Leg***********

I was told to think of the amount you may need.... Then double it!! What harm is having extra bits and bobs. He will be thankful you aren't sending him home for extra things. Mines is packed but have no doubt I will unpack it and repack it again a few more times xx

I've basically sorted out what I'm taking this afternoon but need to wash everything before I pack it. I'll just pack what I want anyway, he'd maybe shake his head but he'll never try to stop me haha! Been shopping today as my friend had a double discount event in boots. Got packs of wipes, shampoo, baby bath, breast pads & maternity pads. Just been to mother in laws & she has given us a massive sack of baby toiletries, so should keep us going for a while (especially as I know my mum has been buying things week by week too).

I alo purchased myself some of the biggest pants I could find in Primark & some nursing bras in mothercare..2for15quid in sale isn't too shabby!

Things are starting to get real!

Too right it is! Yeah I got the super sexy big pants from primark too. So attractive. Sounds like you are all organised! I feel so much calmer knowing my bag is packed. The nursery is still not done but I don't really mind just now. Hubby will paint it next week xx

I took way to much stuff the first time and then got really annoyed having to unpack it all to find anything and unpacking everything back at home. 2 vests and a coming home outfit, including a blanket, nappies and water wipes for baby (if you are planning on bf then you won't need bottles or formula). Lots of maternity towels, big pants, coming home outfit, washkit, night wear and something for birthing in, shower shoes and cash for vending machines/ car park, existing medication... I didn't use anything else. Phone and phone charger were packed on the day.

I'm just writing my list now - I'm totally stuck on what baba needs tho!! I'm not going to be a Dec mummy now, looks like I'll be a section week commencing 9th Nov, I'll be 36+3 ish weeks! Baby is currently estimated at 5lb 9oz so not small - newborn or 0-3 baby grows, he'll be classed as a preemie so could be in for a while... I'm so confused about what to take! xxx

Hi,

We are all ready for baby and everything has been bought, washed, etc for a month or so but only cause I'm so bored. I just have to do my xmas shopping. I've packed hospital bag for me and baby despite planning homebirth just in case we need to transfer. Getting really impatient now

I'd go for newborn baby grows personally. I remember when ds was born he was 7lb8oz and was in newborn for at least a good month and even they were too big

I'm not mumsy either.... in fact, I am probably one of the most unmumsy people you'll ever meet! It works though. I hate kids with the exception of my own.... I love him, but th thought of hearing other mums gush about their kid makes me want to a) act violent and b) vomit profusely. Currently cooking number two now though so it can't be all that bad ;)

Can I ask why so early? I don't know if you've mentioned it already and I have missed it :)

Haha this sounds like me! This is my first but I hate kids. I hate when people bring their babies into work and you have to gush over them. Xx

So my midwife called me this afternoon to tell me 2 weeks after my GD test that I do have gestational diabetes! It's not ideal but what really bugs me is that 2 doctors told me my test was fine and I didn't have it. X

It was a twin pregnancy that was diagnosed as something called TRAP SEQUENCE at 13 weeks - one twin didn't develop but the other pumped blood to it to make it grow. I under went laser surgery to cut the blood supply off and they always said if I made it this far they would look at delivery around 36 weeks.

Can't believe they didn't tell you for 2 weeks after the test. That's shocking. Hope you are getting the support you need - are they looking at diet controlled or medication?

xx

Yeah it's not the best and hubby is really really annoyed about it all. Just shows of the midwife hadn't reviewed my file then I would have been left unknowing. I have a consultation next Tuesday and the following Tuesday to find out what to do. I was just told to keep an eye on my sugar intake until I see the doctor. Bloody pain really! Xx

Hey Becky. Exciting times not long to go honey! My Dd was born 5lb 7 and was in tiny baby/new born for weeks. 0-3 didn't start to fit until after 2months. But I guess it depends on length too!! I would get a couple of both and then after baby here stock up on more of what fits when you know.

Jill hope you get sorted soon with some better advice. Sounds like they've treated you terribly. Just what ou bloody nees when already having to deal with all things pregnancy. Hope the consultant gives you some more information. X x x

Thanks ladies. It's just annoying that I thought all was fine and now i find out this. Will see what the midwife says tomorrow! Xx
