Blake's just started with this. I can't help picking! Shaun went mental at me.

Doc said put olive oil on it. Did this after his bath last night and it's dark so can't see if it's helped.

Does anyone have any tips for managing it? I bloody hate it!

I've been using the shampoo for 6 weeks and tbh it didn't clear it up as quick as I'd hoped. Got some cream from boots a couple of weeks ago which has been quicker, and as she had some on he eyebrow I've managed to get rid of it there.

I pulled a couple of bits of as well, but bits of hair came away as well so I stopped. It's awful to look at :(

I am known to pick from time to time :oooo:

Nothing has worked this end, at the point now where he has enough hair to cover, but when I see it, my fingers twitch

I've been using dentinox shampoo and it's slowly going but where it's going Charleys going bald :( if I pick it, aload of hair comes out, he looks really silly with his bald patches cos he has so much hair!

It's only just started with Blake - tiny little flecks. Do I just have to admit defeat because every baby gets it? I dont want him to lose his hair!

i heard normal head and shoulders worked and it seems to be with oscar....?

Ross had it too, but his hair's never fallen out with it, in fact he's got a mass of hair now. I put grapeseed oil on (same as olive oil really but absorbs a little more easily about half an hour before bathtime then couldn't seem to wash the oil out again!! And because he has so much hair it just looked like he hadn't had a bath ever! My hairdresser suggested to put the shampoo on before wetting his hair which helped break the oil down again. Other than that just the dentinox shampoo. Oh my hairdresser said just to keep brushing too!

Grace had bad cradle cap which took forever to clear up, doctor gave us a shampoo in like a brown bottle don't know what it's called. I found the best thing was Oilatum baby shampoo and Oilatum bath. Keep all skin really soft and stops it drying out. Just used at every bath time. You can get it on prescription for free or from a chemist or Boots. X

I rub baby oil on his head each time after a bath, and then after about 30 mins I gently brush his hair and it kind of flakes off into the brush.

He had a bit a few weeks ago that just went and yesterday he's just had another patch which is nearly gone this morning, but I can't help picking at it either. xx

With Chloe she has long hair so not to leave it greasy I part her hair pit baby oil on her scalp and wash her hair about half an hour after it's been on so she has quite a soak in the bath first lol then I shampoo it off and the cradle cap is gone for about a week x

Odhráns full head of hair fell out at about 6 months and came back lighter lol it's common for the LO's to lose their hair, espec with cradle cap x

noa got a little. today when we got in i drenched his head in olive oil and put a hat on x

I use dentinox shampoo everytime I wash his hair and use a sponge to rub it in, in small circular motions. Took a few weeks to go but I have carried on with the shampoo and it hasn't come back xxx

That's hood I used it with zander and bells and it never worked :) the oil worked first time tho bit it feels so greasy lol x

Thought I'd just ask if anyone could post a pic of cradle cap for me? Cos I'm not sure if Lizzie has it or if it's just dry skin...

it is basically dry skin hun, i used dentinox and still use it lol!! :) i tried others but they are too hard rinsed lol!! xx

Butter! Does wonders, as does olive oil :) If you melt some butter (just on your fingers) and massage it into babys head and then put a little cap on before bed time, it should clear up pretty soon. My younger brother had it very badly when he was younger medicated shampoo didn't work, but butter and olive oil did, and within 2 weeks it was gone. :)
