40 Weeks & 2 Days (Copied from other post)

I broke down this morning, finally cracked... ive been trying my best to put on a front and pretend to everyone that im ok when really underneath ive been crumbling and this morning I cudnt do it any longer and broke down, so glad hubby was here. Ive been feeling really depressed because of SPD and getting more & more down, my GP tried putting me on anti depressants which i declined until after baby is born as i didnt want all the nasty side effects at the moment. Ive got to a point where I feel so low that im no longer looking forward to holding my baby or her being here, Im certain that will change but I just cant pick myself back up at the moment.

Anyway after me crying all day hubby rang the hospital and told them the situation & they said to come down and they wud have a chat with me etc. I went down and my own MW was on and was waiting for me, I broke down in tears soon as I saw her & she gave me a big hug bless her shes lovely!

My MW tried to do a sweep again but cervix is still closed she really tried (hurt like hell!) but no luck. She said if they wud have been able to do the sweep then they wud have induced me 2nite but as they cudnt then I need to wait to see the consultant on Tuesday. Shes told my OH that a glass of wine & sex is on the cards to soften my cervix lol

They wanted me to stay in for regular pain relief & assesment but I declined and said i'd rather be at home so they've given me some super strong painkillers for 2nite but they cant give me anymore as the pharmacy is closed. Didnt wanna stay in as im feeling fed up enough as it is & cudnt really see alot of point!!

So basically I have to wait til Tues to see consultant to arrange induction if I havent gone into spontanous labour before hand (which I cant see!)... so the waiting game continues. Im hoping i'll get a good nights sleep 2nite from those painkillers and feel a bit perkier 2mora but we shall see....

40 Weeks & 4 Days

4 Days overdue grrr!!

Well i was having some promising pains last night but then suprise suprise they all stopped, didnt bother getting excited cos I knew what wud happen & I was right!!
Ive set myself some chores to do today to keep me busy, seeing consultant tomorrow afternoon so just keeping myself goin until then really....
