There are so many to choose from it is silly. I think this is the hardest thing to purchase, LOL.
If you have a cotbed i have been advised to spend a few extra pennies and get a sprung mattress it will then last them from baby to toddler.
I got a padded and sprung one?? Tbh I think she took me for a ride cos I admitted I had no clue and I ended up buying the dearest one She said that it would be better for Odhráns back, now that I'm thinking they wouldn't be selling any that weren't tried and tested and safe for babies back
we just got ours from babies r us a pocket sprung one with removable water resistant cover, half price nad we had a £10 voucher too so only £59 instead of £130
my DD and my soon to be DS both have sprung mattresses from mothercare, about £80 each I think. They're very good. Sprung will last longer whereas foam will loose shape over time so if you're getting a cotbed get a sprung one
I would go for one with a removable cover, I was told to avoid the ones that are simple and just foam ...I'm glad I've listened! lol Mines a sprung mattress x
