A lot of ladies will tell you to just do what you're doing and give him however much he'll eat at whatever times he'll eat it. (Feed on demand).
This is the natural way for babies to eat. Their stomachs are teeny, so they can't eat much in one go. Also, little-and-often is what builds your breast milk supply to sustain them when they're older (I know you're ff, but Noah doesn't).
When I was spacing Cays feeds, I did this-
He was feeding every two hours (more or less). So, I fed him at 6 as normal. At 8, instead of food I picked him up and took him a walk around the house, pointing things out and talking to him. I sang to him, played with his toys, whatever I could. About 8:30, he started full on crying, and nothing would stop him so I fed him. Then at about 10:45 when he started crying for food, I did the same thing again. Distracted him until about 11:30, then when distraction stopped working, and he was crying without me being able to stop him, I fed him.
Within two days, I had him at four-hour feeds, and left it there. 6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm (bath and bed), midnight, and 4am.
I never let him full-on cry for a bottle. If a couple of minutes of distraction didn't work, I fed him.
It only took Cay two days. I've known people space out over a week, and I've known people that don't agree with it at all.
Give it a go if you want to. If you do and it doesn't work, try again in a week or so. Xx
