Rach - :cheer: for helpful o/h's
I was having a bit of an emotional day yesterday - all stupid little insignificant things really, but you know when you just can't handle things, even things that aren't really a problem. DH was at work in the morning and I got got really fed up. I went out to meet two friends for a bit in the afternoon (before DH had got in so I hadnt seen him). Seeing as I was in town I rang him to see if he wanted me to get anything and he said no just to come home - and when I got in he wouldnt let me in the kitchen as he was cooking dinner. He cooked the most amazing roast with tons of lovely veg and quite possibly the best roast tatties I have EVER had! All after being at work in the morning too! It made me cry, he had made so much effort and I hadnt even had the chance to tell him I had been feeling poo, he just seemed to know I might need cheering up. Bless him! He really can be bloody wonderful sometimes!

Babydust! That sounds a bit scary Hun, glad you are ok and  how exciting about the holiday!

Mik, sorry you havent managed to sort anything yet re childminder.

Kmac - it is weird when you see the movements for the first time as well as feel them - its so cool though. I love watching my belly! DH was having a prodding match with Junior the other night. He prodded my belly and LO was prodding back -sooo cute!
and wooooooooooo for 24 weeks!

LisaS - :D choosing baby stuff is so much fun!

LeaM - retail therapy is the best kind of therapy I reckon!

Gracie - :cheer: on hearing the heartbeat!

Bexie - Yey for 24 weeks!

Ummm, sorry if I forgot anything!

awww chok sorry you were feeling down yesterday but :cheer: for a wonderfully thoughtful o/h :D there must be something in the air :D xxxxxxx

 morning all hope everyones ok today

just off to work :( its bonus club day today and 2moro so it will be packed out with customers wanting to take advantage of their 20% off and they will all be grumpy as they will have to wait at the fitting room and wait at the till  and of course it will all be my fault  oh what fun :(

so exhausted this week cant seem to keep my eyes open was in bed last night by 8 and slept till 6 this morning  (except for 3 trips to the toilet and 1 downstairs to get milk for indegestion) and i desperately could go back to sleep now  roll on 8 tonight :rotfl: xxxxxxxxxx

Wish me luck I got a phonecall about the childminding last night. A lady who was an au pair in Germany before they were posted here (I am an army wife) she has loads of training certificates and first aid and just wants something temporary until her baby is a bit older (he is 4 months at the mo). I am praying she is ok I just need to get to the end of the term and on 19th December I will be 29 weeks and can go on maternity leave it will be such a worry lifted to be employed and getting the extra cash for the extra few months :cheer:

Rach Chok glad your OH's are looking after you both  mine is being fab now he has got over his grump too

Have a fab day everyone

Oooh Mik that sounds promising hun. Hope it all works out.

Rach I hope work is ok - not long now, only two more shifts after this one isnt it!?! Where do you work again?

Afternoon everyone!

Hope you are all well! :)

Mik - Hope you get a lead on the childminder, sounds promising! Good Luck!
Rach - Hope work is ok! People seem to turn into animals when there are sales on! Hope you get a better sleep, I somehow manage to sleep through the night with my bladder but am bursting in the morning! Have you tried not drinking anything after 8pm or a few hours before bed?

Chok and rach- glad your OHs are being helpful! mine hasnt turned over the helpful leaf yet,( altho he has done alot of phoning today,..see below) maybe I should stick my belly out further and grunt more when getting off the couch! Ok maybe i'm being unfair, he does make the lunch each morning before work!

Babydust -hope you're ok after your scare.....and thats great about the holiday! :cheer: we're hoping to get away for a long weekend before LO arrives...

Well good news is the Pram is ordered!!! So pleased! Its a M&P Pliko pramette at £150....was discontinued model on sale, of course OH is very sceptical and will be inspecting it when it arrives to make sure its all ok! what is it with men! :rotfl:

STILL not had my results for downs syndrome etc :( phoned the surgery this morning to see if she could pull them up for me, no luck so she said try health visitor number....tried that...no answer (obviously out visiting! ) and when I did get someone she just told me that she wasnt in and I've phoned the wrong number, should be phoning the practice! :wall: :wall:
soooooo OH has been on the phone trying to get through to someone... he's very close to phoning the Triage number as he claims it says to "ring if you have any questions about your pregnancy".....
Starting to get ratty at the NHS now, if they have made a balls up I dont think I'm going to have the bloods done again, just going to ask for a very thorough scan at my 20wk appointment.

sorry rant rant!!!! on a plus note person at work remembered me going on about wanting a curly wurly choc bar and bought one in today for me....awwwww sweet! I'm off to munch on it right now! yum!

mik great news about the childminder hun fingers crossed it all works out ok for you xxx

chok work wasnt as bad as i thought it would be work in clothes shop bon marche and yep only 2 more left    xxx

lisa cant believe they are still messing you about with your results :( have you asked your midwife to chase them up??? great news about the pram :cheer: xxx

hope everyone else is ok  not long got in from work and im already in my pyjamas  and clock watching so i can go bed  roll on christophers bed time :rotfl: xxxxxxxx

got home and still no results! getting very frustrated!

Rach - I dont seem to have a number for a specific midwife, i'm assigned to a team :( the only number I can think of is the Triage number....but I'm reluctant to ring as I dont want to take up their time when other people with more urgent problems need to speak to someone

hun i would phone that number if i was you  why should you be worried when there is probably no need they are there to ease your worries as well as look after you and the baby if you phone them they will probably know who to phone to get your results and can make sure you find out as soon as possible without any more waiting and worrying just explain that you are really concerned and it is distressing you and ask would it be possible for them to chase your results up and give you a ring back xxxxxxxxxxx

Morning ladies

Way too much to catch up on! Well, we're back from North Wales and had a great time. The journey didn't start off brill though as we had a massive diversion due to floods, we decided to cut through country lanes and all we could see where fields flooded that we seemed to be getting closer and closer to!! Luckily we didn't hit them. Stayed at my Aunts on Saturday night and had an Indian takeaway, it was lovely, on Sunday went to Chester Zoo with my cousins and their kids and the weather held out, no rain at all, it was a fab day out and all the kids loved it. Phoebe had a little snooze on the way to the zoo (not much of one) and stayed awake the whole time we were there and we didn't hear one winge out of her, she loved it there and really enjoyed the company of my cousins children, ranging in age from 4 to 1. On Monday we went to the Blue Planet Aquarium, which to be honest was a waste of money, it cost the same as the zoo, but we were in and out within an hour, I was a bit dissappointed by it really, after that we popped over to a retail park for lunch and had a browse around mamas and papas and OH brought me a gorgeous top for my birthday, I insisted that I had to have it now (my birthday's not till next month) so I could get maximum wear out of it. After that we drove home. Yesterday we all went to soft play, then walked into town for lunch and then back to the car, I was exhausted after all the walking. Now I'm back in work for 2 days and off again for a long weekend!

Just off to see my midwife which I'm looking forward to and hopefully we'll get to hear the baby's heartbeat :cheer:

See ya and hope everyone is well.

Hey everyone!

Hope you are all good and well today... its wednesday and half way through the week! wooo! :cheer:

Bexie - Sounds like you had a fabulous time!! What top did you get out of M&Ps? I've been eyeing some up in there too! :D

Rach - hope you had a better nights sleep last night.... I didnt myself :( was kept up by OH's coughing and he woke at 4am and that was me awake until the alarm went off at 6 :( decided to go into work bit later tho...thank god for flexi time!

Well, I phoned the Triage number and the very nice lady gave me the number for Maternity Outpatients to phone after 1.30, so will try then...wish me luck!!
Apart from that nothing exciting happening, think my pram may arrive today..although i'm not there! lol! So will have to arrange a pick up or another delivery...... if I had the holidays I would have taken the whole day off!! Also part my reason for going into work a little later to see if it would arrive.. :shhh:

Hope everyone is well

Hi Lisa

Here's the top I brought http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product- ... 62/type-s/, it looks lovely on.

What a run around your having getting your results, hope you manage to get them this afternoon.

Had my midwife appointment earlier and got to hear the LO's heartbeat which was lovely :cheer: , they were having a good old move around for the midwife. She also measured me and surprisingly I am measuring just below average, I thought I was off the scales as I feel so much bigger this time round.

Hope everyone else is having a good day.

B x
