Got this tomorrow for a couple of hours..big question is should I take OH? He is happy to come but do you think many other partners will be there? Would you take your OH?
just thought i'd post - yes take him along, you will want all the support at some point and he may remeber things that you might not.
He many feel like a prize wotsit - but at least he can be proud that he came and supported his OH, most men wouldnt even offer to come!!

My hubby took me to the breast feeding clinic for the first couple of visits (I didn't feel up to driving myself) + I found carrying Ellie quite hard as I had strained my arms. It is really good to go with your OH as they can watch and help remind you of everything that was said. They can also say if things look right.
I think it is a good idea but I also think that some of the other women at the group might feel embarrassed so it might be best to check with them first.
At a breast feeding support group I used to go to the men got asked to leave!
My breastfeeding classes were women only as we had new mothers there passing on their stories and demonstrating how to latch on etc so men were not permitted.
when i went to rbh once alan came in and we got there early and there was a few other women but no men, so alan left (we were still in hosp then anyway so waited in the room) and then more people turned up with there oh's anyways! he stayed the next few times and learnt alot, they encourage partners to be there and dont just talk to u but to them too so you both learn
Yes, take OH along - like others have said he will probably remember things you don't and it will also be a good insight for him as to what to expect when you're breastfeeding your baby.
