Hello Right im braving it going up to my mums in a couple of weeks on the train, question is though at the other end I need to get a cab, will they take me and baby with just wheeling the buggy onboard and leaving her there, or will they make me take her out. TA x
I couldn't drive when i had harrison so i got in a black cab and back then i just wheeled him into the cab in the pram and that was it, didn't need to take him out. I think its the same now, although i haven't been in a cab with a pram for years.
I use cabs (although they arent the typical black cab style ones up here) if you get a disabled access car I can wheel Arianna in in her buggy... but if it's a normal one she has to sit on my knee. To be honest I think it all depends on the driver!
As per this site http://www.thinkroadsafety.gov.uk/campa ... rseats.htm If your child is less than 3 years old, and is in the back seat of a taxi, they do not need to be in a restraint. Can't really see what difference it would make whether she was in the pram or being held in your arms.
we have black cabs here.. and a couple of weeks before xmas, i went shopping with my sister and her twins.. and she just wheeled the buggy on and didn have to take them out, it was a double buggy aswell. but it will probably depend on the driver i think
