Hi ladies ,
I dont know about you but I seem to be really hungry (and thirsty ) all time while BF!!

Also tiredness and stress from juggling 4yr old and newborn is making me turn to sugar and food more and more!!

Plus after baby i am a hell of a lot heavier than i was or what i feel comfortable with.
At the mo breastfeeding has not led me to lose any weight!

So i wanted to start a healthy eating diet thread where we can log what we have eaten for the day to help us keep on track.

I think its 1700 calories minimum?

Anyone feeling the same and want to join me and this thread for moral support for each other (and hopefully make us eat better as we have to declare it!?) x

(will add my food list tomorrow - was shameful what rubbish i ate today!! )

Hiya! I'm starving all the time too! I try and eat well but just fail. Especially this week as my proper periods appear to have returned (with vengeance) and all I want is chocolate and cake. I so far today have had Weetabix. Yesterday I ate a ridiculous amount of rubbish so I will be following this to see if anyone has any quick but healthy and delicious meal/snack ideas :) xxx

I am ravinous all the time eating more now than when I was pregnant.

I've just made brownies - had to lick the bowl clean of course - must resist the temptation to eat the entire batch before oh gets home!

Lol are they healthy brownies? I believe the op was after healthy recipes :p ... in other news - was the oh expecting you to make them? If not, eat them and destroy the evidence, he will never know muahaha...

I am so here! I have to eat a lot apparently as I'm bfing twins but I'm sure that doesn't include chocolate and rubbish! Will be interested to see how you guys are getting on, I have lost 2st from my weight the day before I gave birth and another stone to go before I get to my pre pregnancy weight but want to loose a further 2 stone on top of that!
Xxx

Everyone - don't panic, it's Fat Furrrsday... today's calories don't count :p

I don't think your body lets you lose all the weight whilst bf as it keeps a store... I've been eating what I want but going on a long walk pretty much every day... seem to be losing weight but I'm not going through the hassle of tracking at the moment... the most important thing to me at the moment is that baby is getting fed and we're all happy (food makes me happy) xxx

And I'm sure your cherries count towards your 5 a day, they are fruit - just smothered in gooey chocolate cakey goodness. And homemade = wholesome. Win! Xxx

I think this thread should be renamed "eat as much as you like as your breast feeding diet"

I'm a good one to talk as I'm always hungry and my LO isn't even exclusively breastfeeding now as he has three massive solids feeds too! But today I've eaten
- two sausages with two slices of brown bread
- a slab of homemade chocolate cake
- packet of crisps
- tuna and mayo sandwich
- half an apple (shared ŵith LO)
- lamb kebabs, couscous, sweet corn and peas!

I would love to loose half a stone more but it's not gonna happen with my love for food?

I have a pack of rich tea biscuits next to the bed for night feeds... Lasts about 3 days! x

- now Free

You ladies did a lot better than me yesterday! I'm too ashamed to share the details but the day was finished off with a chippy tea.. oops x

Mrs N, i thought that i would be able to eat whatever i wanted too......but after a few weeks i realised that the weight wasnt shifting and i would have to diet like everyone else :( Dammit. I was hoping that 2 babies would suck the fat right outta me!
After 12 weeks i made sure i started eating well, high protein and low carbs and sugars, absolutely no bread, pasta etc. In the 17 weeks since birth i have lost 26kg! It can be done i promise! Youd never think i carried twins xxx
