Well, now that Flump will have seen this thread s/he can start with the contractions again please!

Wow Deb its actually happening....what do the contractions feel like, as i've never had BH's i'm not sure what they would feel like....different to the usual period pains / twinges????

They were very much like intense period pains but a lot of pain going into my back...

How did your dad do in the run then? He's very brave going through all that with a hideous cold!!

He did well thanks. He and Matt came through last at 40 minutes, (Matt hung back for my Dad, bless him). Matt did the race last year in 25 minutes, in honour of my Dad and raised a lot of money for the charity.

My Dad decided that he wanted to give something back too (He had prostate cancer in 2002 and was lucky enough to have major surgery and have his life saved - thank goodness!) so he did it and managed to raise £311!! Matt raised £340 last year and didn't get sponsorship this year incase he was unable to take part. He did it more for support for my Dad this year cos he is a good boy

I'm very proud of them both!

Just a pity it stopped my contractions! LMAO

I went to Tesco for a walk afterwards, came home, had a bath, sorted out washing, did the dishes, had a bounce on my ball and nothing!

Oh, and Matt is now ill too... not our week it would seem!

Hi Debbie - If you are still around! I had my show on the Monday and it kind of carried on for a couple of days but nothing else. Then on the Thursday I started having contractions on and off but nothing too strong to make me think it was all happening.

But then by Saturday it was quite strong day and night and Sunday pm she arrived. Had contractions for about 3 days before.

awh!! only just read this..

go have some mummy and daddy time i had show like your on charlotte and my waters broke that night, and ed my waters went 1st. and he was born with the show on his head which ended up on my cheek..lol..
good luck p.s if your waters do go dont bother with pads get a hand towel between your legs.

LOL Lisa! That sounds nice!

My show is STILL coming away. It's been coming away since 10.30pm on Friday night. I checked with L&D yesterday that it was fine and she said yes, so long as I'm not bleeding as though I have cut my finger or anything (that type of blood)

It's really quite gross
