My blood loss had trailed off loads till it was brownish and I only needed a panty liner but it seems to have increased in the past few days and is red again with some darker patches but is quite runny.

I'm just looking for reassurance that this is ok? I haven't been overdoing it really so I was quite surprised when it got worse.

Mine took 8 weeks to fully stop (that was excessive though, it seems most people it's 3-6 weeks) but what did my head in was for that 8 weeks it was very much stop and start and very variable in colour...really did my head in :wall: :wall:

So yeah it's normal, I was told if it started smelling funny or I got clots bigger than a 50p piece to ask the MW/doc about it but otherwise not to worry and to rest lots as section is major surgery and you deserve to put your feet up!!

Mines doing the same hun, the MW told me its normal for this to happen, but its also a great excuse to rest as much as possible

mine did that so dont worry, you may even have a period at some point. Mine is now finally coming to an end

Just be careful if or when you go out and do abit of walking... because all of a sudden id start bleeding again, and only have a panty liner in... was messy lol!!

All taht movement must get things going again, I dont know

cant remeber what happened with my 1st section, but when i had my 2nd section i didnt bleed for long at all i think only about 2 weeks which was just like a normal period, but at about 3 weeks i got a massive gush of bloody came out so be careful

Ooh thanks girls, not sure I fancy the surprise "gushing" but I'm glad it sounds normal!

i had this (i posted in this section a few times) and it turns out i have an infection and maybe some retained membranes. hope it sorts out for you.

Sam - did you have any other symptoms or just the blood loss?

that was the main one i was feeling hot and cold but put it down to the cold i was recovering from and i had pains in my belly
