I've just gotten up to get ready for work and have started bleeding. Not gushing but the same as at the begining of my periods. It's bright red but not accompanied by any pain whatsoever.

I've rung the midwife and she's told me to just stay at home in bed and just not do anything which would be very well and good if I wasn't on my own but I am so for the next few hours i'm going to be on the forum relying on you lot to keep me going until i can ring her again at about half 4.

I'm doing my nut and i'm in floods of tears, i'm scared and dont know what to do, everything was going so well. I can't accept that i'm just about to loose that adorable wriggly little shape I saw on the moniter just a week or so ago.

:(

xxxxx

Aw Hun I hope your ok! Rest as much as poss and I know it's hard but try to relax! x x

Oh hun  Have you anybody who could come round until its time to ring? Thinking of you and keep us updated xxx

Hi ShadowWolf,

I know its hard not to but try to panic just yet.

I have had various stages of bleeding from light to bright red throughout my pregnancy. The first was around 6 weeks when i had a burst cyst on my ovarie. The second bout was around 16 weeks which started quite heavy bleeding and we discovered my placenta was low lying (although they didnt mention it on my 12w scan!) was put on strict bedrest for a few weeks, then the placenta moved and now everything is fine.

I know how scary and worrying it can be but it might not mean the worse, rest as much as you can and wait to hear from the midwife xxx

Hope it turns out to be nothing serious hun xxxx

It's a very good sign that you don't have any pain. Must be very stresfull, just take it very easy like the midwife said. Sorry I don't have any advice but wanted to send you these :hug:

xx

I hae no-one to come round, I know it sounds melodramatic but I don't really have any friends. My OH is at work and cant leave unfortunately.

The bleeding seems to have stopped, all I'm getting now is the last bits so I'm putting it down to a ruptured blood vessel. I have been getting pains in my tummy like muscle pulls when I sneeze or roll over all of a sudden in bed and I did a hell of that last night as I didn't sleep at all. What do you ladies think? Plausable or am I just getting my hopes up?

xx

oh Hun!!!!
Stay on here if you can while lying in bed and do nothing!!!!
I hope your ok Hun!!! X x x

Hi,

I had a bleed at the weekend and now we think all is ok so try to rest up. I would ring the midwife again though and see what they can do as they told me to go into hospital and I had a scan straight away which reassured us. Keeping everything crossed for you. xxx

Aw x x hope everything is ok honey x x

I know its easier said than done, espically now, but dont panic!

Some ppl bleed the whole way thru their pregnancy, i did at the start, last one was at 16wks, all bright red (which was supposed to be bad when i googled it) but with no pain at all (although when ur busy freaking out you start to imagine all sorts of little pains, but when i look back now they were nothing more than twinges when i stretched or something).

Each time i ran to a&e for a scan, and it was all fine, as im sure urs will be too. they said not to worry about the colour of the blood, the fact that there was no pain (real pain or full on period aches & back pain, not the stretching pain i was freaking over lol) was a good sign.

Afterwards, when i was chatting to friends and family i was really surprised at how many ppl had the same, some bled at the start like me, some continued on and off at random times right to the end & some just started started in 2nd trimester, so its more common than you think, and they all went on to have healthy babies :)

A friend of my mums is a midwife & she said she is a strong believer in lots of rest! take yourself to bed & lie on your left side & try to relax xox

Keep us posted!

Well, just went to the loo and all i'm getting it brown spotting now so i presume that's good. Phoned the midwife back and she said that everything should be ok and just to keep and eye on it and that if it was miscarriage there would be lots of pain and a hell of a lot more blood so i'm just going to put it down to a burst blood vessel and hope for the best.

So you lot think my little bean is ok and safe in there?

xxxx

Of course she/he will be safe!! And good news that it seems to be stopping.

xx

of course! n just realised your 14 wks, that still counts as implantation bleeding (its not just 10days after conception) so just ur lil bean settling in to their new home!

hi hun, how are you at the mo?
Have you stopped yet?
just want to send you some big hugs and just say rest, rest and rest some more xxx

 Just caught up on this, how upsetting for you, glad the bleeding has stopped now, loads of people seem to get bleeding through their pregnancies and have healthy happy babies. I'm sure your LO is fine in there, just rest up and try not to worry too much :)
