Noticed there was a few pages at the back of my notes about a birth plan, does the MW go over it with us or are we supposed to fill it in ourselves? lol :oooo:

its just one of them things when it comes to it hun lol trust me u cud say i dont want this or this but u be in so much pain u be saying give me this and this lol, i never filled in my birth plan x

lol i could imagine screaming and midwife going oh but ur birth plan says this lol f**k the birth plan woman give me and epadural*

Lol I'm not ruling anything out, I'll have whatever they can give me :)

At the moment I'm planning only having gas and air but doubt I'll stick with that :p lol x

You can begin to fill it in yourself but your midwife should go through it with you....mine went through mine yesterday at my 36 week check :) xx

Thanks, might have a wee look at it later then :)

I really don't want an epidural, the thought of a needle in my spine freaks me out lol.. Although when the time comes that might change x

Ooh epidural is top of my list, lol!! Saw one born every minute for the first time last week...one had epidural and one didn't...the epidural one just seemed so calm and peaceful, the other one screamed and swore her head off, lol xx

Haha I didn't see it last week! Epidurals sound great but it's just the thought of the needle in the spine.. I say all this but I will likely end up telling them to give me anything and everything

x

From what I've seen on one born every minute the epidurals seem to be given quite late on into labour and I reckon by then a needle in the spine would probably feel like a walk in the park lol!!!
I'd love to have a natural birth but am under no pretence that I won't want every scrap of pain relief going, I am too wimpy about pain!!

My midwife said she would go over birth plan at about 36 weeks too... I had a 36 hour labour last time and epidural was not on my plan due to back problem but they took over and gave me one anyway. At that stage, what needle? Lol. Im now in panic cos my hospital does not do epidurals. It was bliss last time Im gutted I Cant get it...

I didn't know that some hospitals didn't do them Tracey. That's a shame that you won't be able to have one if it's what you wanted!

Are we just allowed one birthing partner? If I had OH, could my Mum be there too or does it just depend on the hospital?

x

Hi, I don't have a plan at all, I think I am going to see what comes, I don't see the point of planning and my plans usually go wrong lol.. x
