Hi ladies,
Just wondering what the DR prescribed to you for this?
I've just got home and opened up my Darlacin cream 2%... and the leaflet says not recommended for pregnancy in the first 3 months. Wtf?! Why would the dr give this to me then?!

Should i go back and ask for something else? Xx

It usually needs antibiotics. Loads of medications will say that they're not recommended for use in pregnancy, just because it's not always ethical to do trials on pregnant women, and the manufacturers like to cover themselves. If your doctor knew you were pregnant, you *should* be fine

I agree with Blackcat hun that it's the pharmaceutical companies covering their butts - if your doctor knew you were pregnant (s)he would have prescribed the most suitable treatment.. I know it's scary - I took 3 different antibiotics around week 9, all of which had their risks, but the risks had I not taken them would have been far greater.. Hope you're ok xx
