Baby Names!

So... when did you all choose your baby names? What names did you choose? Did you change your mind once you saw your little one?

I don't want to get too excited and start choosing names until after my scan, but I just cant help it! lol xxx

I am exactly the same, im scared to jinx myself! I was looking on Next website for a coat and somehow managed to end up on nursery furniture! Then i panic!

I can't help it either, at the moment, my girl list is Evie, Gracie, Ava, Lyla or Lola! And boys Ethan, Euan or (Iwan), Finley or, Iolo (kind of pronounced yollow) I know i will change my mind about a million times though! xxx

Im only 14 weeks but we decided just after my 12 week scan, for a girl we like Abi Grace and for a boy we like Jamie William, i cant wait to find out what we are having on 21st December

Only thing is with Ava is OH's surname, its Harden. Ava Harden... might just be my mind but people he works with and growing up always change the 'e' to an 'o' and call him that, so Ava Harde(o)n might sound a bit rude???! xxx

Iv got Elsie for a girl allready and im only 6 weeks my 2 doughters are called Leah and Sophie. We chose Leah finally when i was about 36 weeks preg and chose Sophie after she was born because we couldnt decide it was sophie or Isobel and she looked like a sophie it really suits her. Stumped on boys names tho just dont have a clue only one i like is Noah and hubby doesnt like it and a bot too popular at the mo x

Haha yeah it might sound a wee bit rude!! lol Ava Hardens lovely its just with the 'o' it doesn't sound so good!

I like Lucie, Abbie and Becky for a girl not too sure of boys names, I loved Kyle but that was the name I chose for our little bean we lost I think I like James and Calum but not too sure yet! xxx

We've got a list of names for each, but I refuse to decide until I meet him/her. I'm like my Mum, she can't even name a hamster before she meets it!!

my name for my girl is prob going to be Ava. I love it more than anything! but i dont want to name her now and then when shes born find that she doesnt look like an Ava or something, but i love that name and its really grown on me. dont know what id put with it as a middle name!!
thats one good thing about finding out the sex of the baby, at least now i dont have to worry about boys names! x

it took me until 32 weeks to decide, lol

cos we are team yellow, we have got Layla Emily & Oliver....

i just hope baby when it arrives looks either like a Oliver or a Layla cos it took us 12 weeks to decide on those, and havnt really got a reserve or spare list of ones we both like!! lol

I always knew I wanted a boy called Matthew since I was little, so when I found out I'm having a boy now it was already decided! Lol

I chose Devon as my boys name when I had baby number 3 , (who turned out to be a girl) so that was easy, never thought my devon would ever arrive as we didn't want 4 then.

He will be Devon Rory Jones (Dr Jones! ha ha )

If a girl we liked many, but I am trying to narrow it down to one as my kids have always wanted to know what they were going to be if a boy or a girl ,so it still needs to be decided even tho I know he is a boy.

My first was a Rhys Daniel, and he was to be a Tegan if a girl
My second was a Toby Robin and he was to be a robyn if a girl
My last was a Briony Leigh and she was to be Devon if a boy

DD didn't have a name until she was born, I just couldn't decide! If she had been a boy she would of been Mareck.

This time we decided on Sebastian about 24 weeks as I got quite stressed out about calling him 'him' and 'baby' and wanted to name him. We stuck to it as well.

Well we had a few arguements about names but we didn't really decide till baby arrived we had a shortlist of 3 names for each! Harvey would have been his middle name anyway but it was decided when we saw him plus we later found out he has a birthmark and a dimple at the top of his bum in exactly the same place as my granddad (who died when I was 13) and where I got the name harvey from (it was my granddads middle name!)

I have a list for both but my favourites are - Emily May and Lewis Alfie.
I liked Emily Rose until someone pointed out there was some horror movie about an Emily rose. So I like May plus that's when baby is due. Alfie is after my dad. But it might change if baby doesn't look like an Emily or a Lewis. I am convinced now that I'm having a girl and hope to find out!

Did most of you choose middle names to do with babys Dad/Grandad etc or just cause you liked them?

Matthew, is only because I like it! His middle name is going to be Kevin after my best friend who died aged 14!
