I agree Elspeth - really really looks like a girl skull to me - I'd be thrilled if that was my scan, I've realised I'm desperate for it to be another girl (feel a bit guilty but my little boy is so much harder work!) x

Ooh, that's exciting that you agree. I'd be very happy ( and probably prefer) a little girl and my daughter is desperate for a sister.

Would feel a bit sad for OH as I know he would like to have a son.
Might be a chance I can persuade him to try for number 3 then!!

Scan went well! Baby is measuring at around 3cm and heartbeat was 162. Baby was wriggling like crazy but I had kind of overdone it on the full bladder! Haha. They reckon I'm 9 weeks 5 days which would make EDD 3rd September. NHS scan in 2 weeks so we'll see if that sticks or changes!

It didn't help that we got there half an hour early so I was just sat there drinking in boredom, I was so glad when she said I could wee haha. I won't make that mistake for my scan in 4 weeks!

Hello everyone. So nice to see all your scan pictures. I haven't been on in a while as work was crazy but I'm now on holiday. It's been great to have a few days away. I have my 12 week scan on Monday. I'm worried as my sickness isn't as bad but I'm trying to think positive.

Hi Everyone, sorry to have disappeared. Just been trying to find time to relax a little as still have a couple of wks before my 13 WK scan. Taking an age! Morning sickness moved into vomiting but mainly just excess stomach acid twice a day. Sometimes triggered by motion (car travel) or something like brushing teeth. The nausea is definitely lessened overall and am able to eat slightly more, in general.

What happens with this group when we start moving to second trimester...can we update the name MissCharlie, instead of rejoining another one? :-D

Hoping4Rainbow - what an utter shambles. So many different mistakes and at such a worrying time for you. I wonder if baby has grown more making the dates seem further than they are - maybe linked to the growth you have. 7 days is a lot to account for like you say but there again, nature has a funny way of working sometimes ! At the moment they dated me two days behind what I had guessed. Another couple of wks and we have our scan....I just hope all is well. Whilst I am glad the symptoms are easing, it is also semi worrying in general. What are we like eh!

Also this is going to sound a bit mad but when should you book your antenatal classes? I really want to do an NCT one and am worried it'll be full if I leave it too late! Sounds silly I know...

I was keen on doing NCT with my daughter and booked soon after my 12 week scan I think. It depends how popular courses are in your area as to how soon you need to book. You could certainly enquire about what courses are running locally.

Welcome back spuds. What date is your scan? It's such a long wait.
I wouldn't worry about symptoms easing a bit. I think that's very very normal. Enjoy feeling a bit more human.

I never did NCT classes but everyone I know that has says they weren't much use other than to meet other new mums to be and therefore make friends. The NHS antenatal classes were an absolute joke and I only went because I felt like my midwife would disapprove if I didn't. I can see how they would be useful for really poorly educated people but I really didn't need to spend an hour being told that you shouldn't smoke when pregnant and should try to eat healthy and avoid X foods!

Feeling like my nausea has eased a little the past two days which I guess is good but of course is freaking me out that it's a symptom gone. However you might think I mad but I think I've started to feel movements of baby. With my first baby I first felt something at 16 weeks and with my second I felt something at 12 weeks and had an anterior placenta so should have found it harder to feel anything so I guess it's possible. It's a like a sort of squirmy butterfly rolling motion and that's always how it starts off feeling for me x

Hello everyone I'm so pleased that you have positive news about baby growing beautifully hoping 4 rainbow it's very hard to hear you are still having trouble though I'm only in Chichester not far from you at all!!!
I really hope this get better and they can turn this around in the coming months I think I may have cried on that last visit of yours!
They are being very unprofessional and are becoming a great diss appointment too!
Hope they turn it around and show you greating care in the coming months!!

Rose I will need you to predict gender for me after my scan hahaha because it's driving me mad I want to know hahaha!!!

So it's been along time for me without symptoms so will be happy to see baby healthy - only thing that makes me feel pregnant is my bump swelling- finally got my maternity trousers on and my God they are the best!!!
Sooo comfy over the bump band is lovely!

We are on our holiday in a secluded mountainous part of Wales and I'm having a week of walking the dogs and relaxing

We have a long way to go yet the days turn into weeks quicker than you think, even quicker for those who have been put forward at the dating scan!!

Going into the 2nd trimester is going to be fun with gender guesses and gender reveals!!!

I got my letter yesterday saying baby has 1 in 3789 chance of having downs. I was chuffed but it arrived on my 30th Birthday!! I couldn't help thinking, what if it hadn't been so positive! Talk about extra possible stress on my birthday

It was a week before I got my letter. They don't tell you at the time, they haven't either time with me.
