How are we doing today? One week tomorrow til my early scan... And also only two days left in work til my week off, woohoo!

Been off work sick passed 2 days, haven't had to take my sickness meds so far and haven't bern taking my prenatals and I have felt miles better. Just getting my food consumption back up now as Ive lost 3 - 4 pounds recently (weight I cannot afford to lose) Looking forward to going away tomorrow for the bank holiday weekend with family and then my next scan next Wed.

It's taken me a while to find the courage to post this, been following the thread for a while! Had an early miscarriage in June at 4wks 6days so really nervous about this one. Really shocked to have caught again so soon after but really pleased too. Fiance is even more nervous than me as has had 3 miscarriages with previous partner all at 8 weeks, so hopefully once we get that far he will relax a bit more!

I'm having one of those days when I don't feel pregnant today. Boobs aren't sore, don't feel sick, just feel completely normal. I supposed I shouldn't complain but it's hard not to worry.

Hi all I'm having a rough day today. My last pregnancy ended 14th July at 5w 4d and today I'm 5w 4d I'm so scared I don't want to move incase it happens again. On the plus side morning sickness has started (well all day nausea lol) just can't shake my worried feeling x

It's difficult being pregnant after a miscarriage/miscarriages. Trying to find the balance between not getting hopes up and having a positive mental attitude.

Morning sickness is a very good sign though - big hugs. x

What do they have in them that eases the sickness? Maybe I'm skeptical but that surely MUST be a placebo effect?!? I haven't been sick in 2 days, I've been feeling sick but no vomiting. I sort of wish I was still vomiting because it gives me that 'definitely pregnant!' feeling! xx

Flynnbear - welcome to the thread and sorry about your mc's- it is understandable to stress though. My hubby isn't getting excited until after we pass the 9 week point that we lost at last time, and don't think I will start to relax til tri2! Hopefully all will be fine for us all this time though

Beckylou - I have days where I don't have so many symptoms- think its normal for them to come and go.

3lilmonsters - once you're through today that'll be a milestone met then

Naomi thats pretty crap if you don't get a 12 week scan? surely they can't see eveything they need to at 8 weeks?

Hello new BFPs

Well had a terrible day yesterday, went to GP about some pain i'd been having on my right side, got much worse yesterday so went thinking UTI or something. When she tested my sample the first thing she was was "do you still feel pregnant" that was really worrying. After some prodding she said I had to go straight to hospital as she was pretty sure pregnancy is ectopic. I was in bits, husnad is away on work at the moment so had to get a taxi round to the hopsital as i wasn't allowed to drive. Waited in EPAU for 3 hours for scan. Thankfully baby is where it should be (never been so relieved before) she showed me yolk sak but no foetal pole. Going back in 2 weeks to see if things have progressed.

The sonographer seemed pretty annoyed with me though, like i'd made it all up for a scan or something?? Have never been so scared before, spend the whole waiting time in tears in the reception. So glad that everything seems ok but now I just feel really guilty like I've wasted peoples time or something?

Oh god Ams what a stressful experience!!! Must have been awful being on your own.
You have NO reason to feel guilty and it is bad if the sonographer made you feel that way. It was the doc who was concerned, and better safe than sorry with these things. Really pleased all was ok xxx

I think what you had there was an overly cautious doctor (obviously the best kind of doctor). I went to see GP couple of days ago with the same thing, pain in my right side. He did the urine test and prodded me and said there's absolutely no way it's an ectopic, he even said that they don't present problems until 8+ weeks. I felt guilty for even having wasted the GPs time, and I've still got to wait until 9+4 to even get bloods done. Some healthcare professionals really are in the wrong job! Take care Ams xx

There just organic sweets. Google them they ate not medical.

Dont feel guilty at all hun its always best to be safe than sorry and even your Doctor was concerned. You have wasted nobody's time hun. Great news that everything was okay on your scan tho

Not at all. Some ppl just dont get it hun. Enjoy it. The days I havent had morning sickness have been the best, the days Ive had it Ive felt so miserable.
