April 2021 Mummies!

Ooo wow
That’s amazing exciting times ahead xxx
How we all doing I feel like I get tired around tea time but over then that just plodding along xxx
I feel exactly the same! Tired every day, take a 20 min nap at 5pm or so every day just can’t keep my eyes open lol

If the test line is darker than the control line it means your HCG levels are so high it steals dye from the control line.

It's a good sign ☺️

Thank you. Needed to hear that. Been worrying myself lately! Booked for an early scan so i can relax more x

the tiredness hits me in afternoon I just wanna have bath and go asleep but guess that’s my body working over time during the day xxx

Tiredness hits me around 4pm, which is very unfortunate as I work 6-10pm 4 evenings a week

Can't believe there are now May mummies appearing! Wow and welcome :)

I'm now 8+2 and I'm noticing my daily routine is as follows....
Wake up around 7am with my son, tired already! We eat toast for breakfast. I have no energy to move from the sofa. By 9am the nausea is here by 10am it's awful. I'm usually sick around then. By 11.45 I start making lunch for myself and my son, I eat and temporarily feel better. Within 20 mins nausea is back. Then tiredness hits. By 5pm nausea tapers off and tiredness is real. I struggle to do most housework and daily chores. I need to sit down and rest a lot. My son goes to bed at 7pm then I feel normal!!! I do wonder if I didnt have to care for my son full time and I could follow my body cues, if I would feel better. My pregnancy with him I had just quit my job so I didnt work throughout pregnancy, which meant i slept whenever i needed too and made food for myself whenever i wanted and didnt have to worry about making someone else's lunch first! Amazed if you're still reading by the way haha. We are also having building work starting at our house this week. The loft is being done. I'm so not ready for that

I'm also calling gp tomorrow to discuss meds for sickness as I'm unable to do anything other than make breakfast, lunch and dinner for my son. I dont leave the house. I dont leave the sofa to be honest!

Hope you're all doing well

My daughter was 14 months when no 3 arrived! And actually he’ll have just turned 2 when no 4 arrives!
Oh wow that's great. How did you find the early days? My sister's two are 18 months apart and I love how close they are.

I'm

Having number two
My son will be 2.5 when this one turns up.

Considering I said I wanted to wait a minimum of 5 years I failed there
Oh yeah quite close to my age gap then how you feeling about it? I think there's pros and cons to every age gap. I'm hoping they'll be really close because of it but I think the early days juggling the 2 of them will be tough! My son was a terrible sleeper for the first 10 months hoping this one is a bit better

Ohhh where abouts? I'm north london :)

Boobs are hurting now guys! I'm now 8+1 got my midwife appointment next friday :)
South London, zone 6 so pretty far out. Can get to Victoria in about 30 mins. Lived in North London too in the past though.

Oh that's good you got your appointment through. I did a self referral about a week ago but not heard anything back. Wondering if I should chase. Did they take a while to get back to you?

Yeah I'm the same. Fine in the morning then the tiredness and nausea creep in in the afternoon.

@AllyBally i was slammed with symptoms from before 4 weeks this time! It’s been crazy, so much worse and earlier than any other pregnancy for me.

The very early days were tricky because I’d had a c-section, and the 14 month old still needed picking up and carrying sometimes, and I couldn’t lift her into her cot at bed time. Generally it was fine, and they just had to learn that I couldn’t do everything for everyone at once. Sadly though, they’re not close. I’m hoping once my eldest finally goes back to school in 2 weeks time, that the youngest two will form a new bond.

Hey there mummies, hope you are all feeling well!! I have also been feeling really tired.... I'm at w6d3 with a mild queasy feeling during most of the day so loving my mint and ginger teas at the moment. Had my first scan yesterday and baby seems to be growing strong with a steady heartbeat<3! So far so good! Can't seem to be eating too much. What are you ladies snacking on between meals? Would love some ideas :)

Yeah, thankfully the teas help out a bit. As long as it doesn't get any worse!! Fingers crossed!!

So my booking appointment was due to be on Friday but the midwife called yesterday to confirm the appointment then said she could actually do it then! So I have had my booking appointment :) all went well and my bloods will be taken at my 12 week scan. I also managed to get hold of my gp and was prescribed Cyclizine for sickness and my god... today is the first day I have drunk something other than water for 3 weeks. I feel wonderful but my previous tooth infection has reared its ugly head again, so that's not the best.
