Hi girls I have had THE BUSIEST day ever!!!!
But everything is absolutely fine. I am also measuring 11 +4 and they are estimating 13th too. Obvs this was a private scan though so not sure what the hospital will date me at. Baby was having a good wriggle around and has grown so much and they let us listen to the heartbeat too. I am so relieved so going to chill as best as I can now xxx

Could phone either the midwife or EPU, I think it’s highly unlikely that anything’s gone wrong with the baby, if the scan was fine yesterday honestly MM it’s not going to be something to do with the baby but definitely phone the midwife or EPU, maybe you are just going to be one of these women who bleed throughout their pregnancy! It’s mad isn’t it, wish they could find out what’s causing it for you, let us know how you get on Hun xxx

It's eased off now but I have some lower back pain I spoke with my midwife and GP they told me to go to A&E if it worsened or became bright red. But in mean time put feet up. Midwife said to get GP to refer me up to EPU tomorrow to scan me. I am so worried!!! I know I have have some spotting it's nothing new but this has suddenly came out of the blue if I am honest and with some discomfort and more than I have had previously i can't help but worry out my mind xxx

Aww I can imagine how worried you are - it was intense lower back pain non stop for 2 days and spotting which had me at the EPU getting scanned when I was 6 weeks, and I was so shocked when it turned out everything was ok but it just goes to show sometimes you can think the worst but it turns out everything is absolutely fine, hopefully you won’t have to wait long to get a scan, just lay it on thick and hopefully they’ll get you in asap, I hope the bleeding stays away for you now xxx

I hope so IVW! I have to see my GP at 10.30 for them to refer me up to EPU it's such a faff!!! Still got back pain and cramps but it's light brown spotting this morning xxx

Hope everyone is ok, had a private scan last Saturday and they put me forward a bit so would be 9w6d today 12 week scan is booked for the 19th so only 3 weeks to go then I can try and relaxed a little xx

Morning everyone. I spent yesterday afternoon up at EPU. Baby was fine there was a heartbeat and baby wriggling round. There seemed to be a bleed in my cervix. They checked and my cervix is closed. Not an awful lot that can be done they said baby should be fine. I am just in a whole world of worry. I just have so much brown stuff coming away. Like so much. It's horrible. They said to go to a&e if pain becomes worse or I pass bright red blood. Just trying to take it easy and praying my little bean will be ok xxx

Oh Hun you really are having such a rollercoaster! So it sounds like it’s coming from your cervix then, but the good news about that is that it’s not the baby, the baby is fine! I wonder if they will keep a closer eye on your cervix then throughout the pregnancy, maybe it’s something you can speak to midwife about? Are you consultant led? Xx

Yes I am consultant led anyway but they were actually really vague about it all yesterday. Not sure what they knew to do with me. It was a case of things are fine for now but if it changes go to a&e. Not out of the woods yet xxx

We got our combined screening test results back today from when we had the 12 week scan, and the baby has a low risk of Downs Syndrome and Edwards’/ Patau’s syndromes, only a 1 in 50, 000 chance of having either! so we’re dead chuffed! Obviously we would love our baby no matter what, but reassurance that they’re likely to be healthy is always a relief We got the results through the post within 4 days too so that was quite speedy x

Mummymoreton, how often does this happen. Is it every 4 weeks by any chance? I found out I have a bicornate uterus, and basically one half of my uterus thinks I'm pregnant and the other half doesn't! So it builds up an endometrial layer every month as if I was having a period.

Might be worth asking when you get a scan to check for this xx
