**** April 2019 mummies ****

I just wanted to post and say good luck to everyone and I wish you all happy, healthy babies

I won't be joining you in trip, we had our 12 week scan last week which showed a high level of fluid, we had a cvs last week, the results today confirmed that I am carrying a baby boy who has edwards syndrome, they are surprised that I have made it as far as I have without miscarriage and that there is still a heartbeat. I have a hospital appointment today to arrange for a termination for medical reasons, heartbreaking that it is, it is the best thing for us, our daughter and the little boy I am carrying, please don't judge. This baby was very much wanted and will never be forgotten, there is a saving grace that it is not believed to be hereditary so hopefully we will have a successful pregnancy next time around

Good luck everyone x x x

So sorry to hear this Pink how heart breaking for you. Thinking of you all on this journey and your gorgeous little baby. So truly sorry to hear this xxx

There is absolutely no way anyone would judge you for making this decision pink, it is the decision I would make too and the kindest thing you can do for the baby, I’m so very sorry how heartbreaking xxx

Just wanted to let everyone know that I've just got home from my scan and everything seems totally normal, however will await the results of the downs/Edwards etc tests. Also... They've requested I have my anomaly scan at 19 weeks instead of 20... Anyone have any experience of this?!
New due date is 15th April!

Yay  do you feel a lot more relieved?

Cant comment on the anomaly scan as i just booked in for the next available date - might actually work out how many weeks i will be then :oooo:

Oh lovely news raining flowers! I think the anomaly scan is meant to be carried out between 18 - 21 weeks anyway so that sounds totally normal xx

Yes, feeling loads better. When I'd had my bloods taken they gave me a form to hand in at reception which said to book anomaly scan for 7 weeks time... Which makes me 19 weeks and not 20! Just seems odd. Although I'm not complaining... Means I get to find out gender earlier!!!

I’m so sorry to hear your heartbreaking news pink, you’ve been faced with the most awful decision and no one will judge you for doing what you feel is best for all of your family. Keeping you in my thoughts <3

Great news rainingflowers, and YES my doctor said he’d see me in 6 weeks time when I was 13 weeks at my scan, which would make me 19 weeks too, I just think they have a 4 ish week window in which to do the scans so probably try and choose the least busiest clinic times. That’s my theory anyway :)
I’ll add your new due date to the tri 2 thread! <3

Off to get my flu jab this afternoon!! Is everyone else going to get one? X

The midwife advised me to get one but didn’t say when or how to arrange it! Might ring her and ask also need to ask how I get my 20 week scan appointment xx

Yes! All pregnant women are reccomended to get it. I’d ring your doctors surgery and ask when the next set of flu jabs are being administered - it’s getting to flu season now. I’ve had them since I was a baby for my heart condition, but pregnant women should get it too. There’s a section on it on the NHS website which has lots of helpful information about it if you wanted to look it up :) x

Yes I have my flu jab booked for 20th Oct too. My GP surgery text me advising me to call and book in

Hi ladies. I should've been turning 13 weeks today and moving on to tri 2. Sadly when I went for my ultrasound on Tuesday there was no heartbeat. I'd lost the baby the day before. I've had losses before (6 in fact) but never this late. We're going to try again as soon as we're ready. I wish you all the best.
