**** April 2019 mummies ****

My next scan isnt until the 22nd November - its that far away, i am not even thinking about it. Just as long as my bump gets bigger i am happy waiting <3

Its all the midwife appointments in between scans that are annoying me - yes it means i get time off work, but are they all REALLY that necessary  obviously i am grateful we are obviously getting the care attention others might not get, but i just think its a bit excessive - or is that just me? Altogether i have 12 appointments - is that the case for the first time mums on here?x

OMG as far as I know I get one appointment with the midwife before my 20 week scan at 16 weeks, not got a 20 week scan date yet or any other appointment dates, not sure how I’m meant to get them, what are all your appointments for IVW? Xx

So this is the long list of appointments i have  i am hoping all arent necessary and will check with my midwife when i see her at the end of October.

When i had my scan, i booked my next scan there and then and they told me to ring a certain number to get the next mid wife appointment in.

So strange how all hospitals work very differently.

I’ve got a list of appointments similar looking to that, there does seem to be an awful lot! :)
I’ve got an extra 2 growth scans at 28 and 34 weeks, and a fetal heart check up at about 22 weeks to make sure the baby doesn’t have the same heart condition as me - there’s only a 3-5% chance of that happening though :) So there’s lots and lots to put in the diary!!!

Girls I am feeling so down and in the dumps :( I am still spotting and pain on and off. Feel like my life is on hold!!! We have the wedding on Friday feel like I can't even face it the way I feel :(
Sorry to be so moaney would love to come on and say something positive xxx

Aww MM you can be as moany as you want, this is exactly the place to come to when you need a moan and we are all here for you, I don’t blame you for being down in the dumps, I know it’s scary but I honestly think the baby is safe and doing well in there, the odds are so far in your favour now the risk of something going wrong is less then 1% when is your NHS scan? Xx

MM is the wedding close friends/family is there anyway you can get out of it? Or maybe not stay for long? I know there’s nothing worse than having to go to a big social event when you are feeling terrible I’ve done it myself a few times and then afterwards regretted not just putting myself first for a change xx

My NHS scan is on Tuesday next week...it can't come quick enough! Thank you I am just so frustrated with it all. I am trawling the internet looking for stories and there is so many positive ones. Seems to be pretty common...but still it doesn't take the fear that something dreadful is happening! I have come this far through all the spotting surely my little bean can carry on?!?! Yes it's close family and my husband is best man so can't get out of it. It's an hour's drive up to clitheroe (no idea where this is). But my best friend who happens to be my sister in law has just found out she's 6 weeks and she will be there too. We have said if it gets too much we are going up to our room for a pj party Haha! She is just hit all the sickness.
Think I just needed to get it off my chest it's been 6 days of it now and it just isn't stopping. It's lighter but pain still there xxx

awwwww MM :hugs:

At least you have someone else going in the same boat, that must be comforting?

I dont blame you for worrying, its all just a big worry, but you have had such positive scans, you need to just reassure yourself that the little bean is doing what it needs to <3

Also is anyone also hungry all the time??? I can't stop eating!!! Xx

This was me right at the start of my pregnancy but since then i dont notice hunger so much, but the only thing that gets rid of the nausea is eating, so i find myself eating just to knock it on the head, which is quite alot

I am also feeling very down in the dumps! I'm 12 weeks today and got my scan at 10am tomorrow. Just don't feel pregnant AT ALL anymore!!! Haven't had any sickness so can't really say anything about that but tiredness has totally gone, boobs don't hurt anymore. Also... I haven't actually put any weight on!! I have measured by belly and it is bigger and I have been eating crap constantly... I can't understand how I've put NO weight on!!! Tomorrow can't come quick enough... So glad my scan is early!!

IVW I haven't stopped eating today!!!
I know I have had positive scans that's the only thing keeping me going it's just heart breaking everytime I go to the toilet and see horrible stuff. I am glad it's not red and praying it doesn't change but it's been a hard week.

Hope your ok rainingflowers I completely understand!
Have you had any early/private scans so far? If I am honest I have only had a little bit of sickness and it's gone now hence the big appetite. My boobs aren't sore anymore either. But even with spotting/ heavy brown loss and lack of symptoms my little bean was very much there on Friday. Think I am just fed up with how long this spotting is going on for. Glad you have a scan in the morning Xx

Good luck for tomorrow raining flowers, I think we have all had that same anxiety before our scans, We are getting to the point now where preg symptoms should be dying down anyway xx

It’s definitely very common MM, my manager told me today she bled all the way through her pregnancy with her son

I hope this next week goes super quick for you and you have another absolutely magical scan on Tuesday xxx

Yes MM I have already had 3 scans which have all been fine. My last 1 was 3 weeks ago. I just hope it's still alive and growing in there!! Everything I've ready says symptoms should be disappearing now, it's just still slightly worrying. I think when I've got my belly il be okay!!

I just wanted to post and say good luck to everyone and I wish you all happy, healthy babies

I won't be joining you in trip, we had our 12 week scan last week which showed a high level of fluid, we had a cvs last week, the results today confirmed that I am carrying a baby boy who has edwards syndrome, they are surprised that I have made it as far as I have without miscarriage and that there is still a heartbeat. I have a hospital appointment tomorrow to arrange for a termination for medical reasons, heartbreaking that it is, it is the best thing for us, our daughter and the little boy I am carrying, please don't judge. This baby was very much wanted and will never be forgotten, there is a saving grace that it is not believed to be hereditary so hopefully we will have a successful pregnancy next time around

Good luck everyone x x x
