**** April 2019 mummies ****

How is everyone this week? I can now happily say that I am feeling nauseous
Never been relieved to feel crap lol. Taking this as a good sign and just looking forward to mext Thurs for the scan xx

Yay for the nausea coles, ha ha! I know what you mean about it being reassuring, I’m 8+1 today, retching throughout the day without bringing anything up, I’ve been vomiting in the morning and nauseated on and off throughout the day, some days are worse then others and all I’ve been able to eat is bread, although I am pleased I’ve managed an orange and some salad today :)

Yey to some nutrition!!!!
Yesterday I ate broccoli haha!
Mine isn't as severe as yours night owl and to be honest last week was probably my worst so far. But it's just there in the back ground. I usually have a diet coke addiction but finding I have barely touched it! Xxx

Hey ladies! Hope you’re all well! :D I’m 10 weeks today! Hurray! 😁

As for the carbonara I would go for it if that’s what you want, as you say the eggs are cooked through so I wouldn’t worry at all. :D
All I wanted at 10 o clock this morning were those Chicago Town mini 4 cheese pizzas so I cooked them in the microwave (couldn’t wait for the oven heating up) and it was just the best breakfast ever  I seriously need to get a handle on my food situation, it’s terrible! I’m eating so poorly but I literally can’t stomach anything healthy! Though I talked to the midwives the other day at my booking in appointment and they told me not to worry as baby will just take all of the nutrients it needs from me, so I may feel like crap but my baby will get what it needs :D xx

It’s funny how we completely go off the stuff we usually love isn’t it! Xxx

Yay happy 10 weeks jomo, oh I’m exactly the same I’ve been worried about my appalling diet all I’ve been eating is bread products! Vegetables turn my stomach! Glad your midwife isn’t too worried that makes me feel a little better ha ha xx

It’s funny how we are all in the same boat with food and all generally wanting carbs and beige food - definitely a pregnant thing which I would never have guessed - I actually didn’t think my diet would change much at all, how wrong I was

Today I had beans on toast, but the beans with the sausages in - I haven’t had them since I was a child and would usually steer clear of food like that :wall2:

Sorted, carbonara it is tomorrow then :) I think with anythiing, as long as it’s all in moderation, you will be fine and hey let’s face it, if my little bean is making me crave it, who am I to stop it being satisfied :oooo:

Had a craving for carbonara today, so the oh said he would make it tomorrow, but when i was checking the recipe it soon dawned on me, this might be a pregnancy no no :-(

I think if its with cream its ok, but the typical recipe is with eggs, but i have also read that because you heat the eggs up into a sauce its 'ok'.

Whats your thoughts ladies? would you eat it....?

I am sure it will be fine! But your talking to an already mum of 4 so I eat anything to be honest :) I would eat a bit of pate or a medium steak so I am probably not the best to answer haha xxx

I can imagine my mum, who’s had 6 children would have just laughed in my face at me even asking

Bring on the carbonara

I am literally forgetting there are 4 weeks in a month  I’m 8+1 so when people say they’re 10 weeks, that feels like it’s miles ahead of me.x

Hello Ladies,

Hope everyone’s doing well. 7 weeks, 5 days today with terrible morning sickness last week!

Anyway, went for an early scan earlier this evening to check everything’s ok and my partner and I come to find out we’re expecting TWINS! In total shock but feeling so so blessed!

:shock::dance:

Xxxx

Having a few little niggles and small pains in my lower abdomin today, nothing major, not very painful at all, hoping it’s just everything stretching. Had a similar feeling at about 6 weeks so I hope everything is just growing :)

Thats one reason my partner wanted and early scan, to rule out the possibility of twins  I wasnt bothered if there was two in there or just the one <3

I’ve been having a few little sharp niggles too, I think it’s definitely growing pains x

Thanks night owl, that’s reassuring ☺️
Has anyone been looking at prams and buggys yet? I know it’s early but I feel like if I don’t start looking now I’ll be seriously behind and doing last minute shops! Haha. I’ve got my eye on an infababy moto 3 in 1 travel system that lasts from new born up until 3 years and includes car seat and nappy bag - all for a good price. It’s in the sale at the minute, about half price! I’m desperate to buy it as it’s such a steal and all the reviews are glowing, but I don’t want to chance it. Hopefully they’ll have another sale before I’m due and it’ll give me a chance to look at other products too. :)

I’ve been having a little look, I walked past mothercare yesterday and somehow ended up in there looking at prams ha ha, i think you are pretty much safe now to buy stuff jomo especially if you’ve seen something you really want for a good price. But I know what you mean I feel like I might jinx it or something if I buy anything before 12 week scan, I wish I could just fast forward time this waiting is killing me x

To my utter surprise i haven't even bat an eye lid at it at all, but my oh has been researching it all and if anything he is educating me. I didn't realise with most prams, after 9 months you would need a new one, so when he explained there are ones that go up to 3, i said well its a no brainer, so we were sat in bed watching videos and wow most of them were so complicated getting them in the car etc

I will let him know about this one you have suggested Jomo and at half price, it really would be hard not to buy it, so i would say go for it.
