*** April 2018 Mummies ***

My boobs aren't as sore but are bigger. Poor OH is gagging for some attention but with all the spotting I'm not risking anything. So hungry today and nauseous

Hi ladies.

Hello to all the new BFP's.

Also glad all you early scans went well.

I am beyond shattered. My 2 year old DS has decided to start waking in the night and/or super early. Not what you want in early pregnancy when you need match sticks to keep your eyes open at the best of times.

Also suffering with nausea and was dry retching yesterday.

Love this part!?

Congratulations Holli and welcome! I think we have all been guilty of poas several times! Look forward to hearing more from you....we are certainly having a bumper month of BFP :bfp:

Stephlo.....if you are worried and given your history, a quick phone call to EPU might just reassure you. They might do an early scan but unlikely to show anything until you are about 6 weeks. Hope it settles down x

Loula,.....there are other ways to show attention without having to have sex.....maybe you could be a little creative? Haha! Enjoy!

Dry wrenching.....that sounds really grim. Taking small sips of water is supposed to help....never tried it though. It's really hard when you are so tired....could you pop him in front of the tv if he wakes early whilst you nap on sofa....not ideal but might help in the first few weeks. X

Stephlo, always call if you are worried. Because you had a previous miscarriage they may very well want to scan you just to be safe.

Hi holli! Congrats on your BFP! My last period was about 22nd or 23rd June but I'm just 8 weeks gone. My periods are irregular and strange! Keep jumping between the two until you know for sure :) do you have any scans booked? Xx

Thank you. I have given them a call and they said they can't just book in a scan unless I've miscarried twice but if I come in first thing tomorrow morning then they can assess me and hopefully get me in for a scan tomorrow. I'm trying to stay positive but it's just a big worry whenever you notice anything isn't it x

That's good to hear. Should be able to get some reassurance stephlo :) it's always a worry. I've found it's more of a worry 2nd time around! Which is weird, I thought I'd be a lot more relaxed but apparently not! X

Hopefully they can reassure you stephlo and you may get to see baby x

Hey, no im having an internal scan in the morning to check the cramps I had through night but I think that's cos I was on my feet 12 hours working as today I've rested on bed or sofa and they have died down, got really bad nausea today. My Gp sorted me out with midwife she text me yesterday just to tell me she's booked me in for the 26th September xx

Dry heaving welcome to my world. That's a regular thing here but I do feel better after it.
Haha that thing is not going in my mouth haha. Yes I shall have to give him some love at some point. Bless him x

I had cramps too holli but all was well :) you should find out approx how far gone you are in the morning then!! That's very exciting! Good luck for your scan, I'm sure everything is fine :hugs: I'll be checking the forum throughout the morning for any updates :) xx

Hello Ladies  and congratulations to you all!

I'm very new to this as I've never used a forum before! I got my BFP almost 2 weeks ago and I am 6+2 weeks pregnant with my first baby! My due date is 24/4.

I'm really nauseous, have no appetite for any foods and feeling really sleepy. Yesterday I weirdly felt a bit normal and thought something was up but today I feel even worse and light headed!

Is it normal to not meet with the midwife until you are 9 weeks pregnant? I went the GP on Tuesday and he said to book in with the midwife for when I'm 9 weeks. I also mentioned to him that I have been getting period like cramps but he didn't really say anything about it, even the DH said after the appointment that he didn't say anything about the pains.

I feel really anxious as I have to wait 3 weeks to find anything out now. Can I get an early scan from the doctors? I think it would stop me worrying to just know that everything is ok even with the pains!

x

Thankyou Hun, I'm not expecting much to be seen but never know eh? I'll let you know as soon as I'm home appointment is 10:45am. I keep poas to check and my lines there before control line and still getting 2-3 weeks on digi don't think I'll stop even after a 3+ this pregnancy malarkey doesn't half make us women possessed I'm glad the cramps are normal it's quite worrying when you don't know what to expect xxx

There will be something there holli. A blob if you're earlier on (5 weeks or there about) and something that slightly resembles a bit more of a baby if you're 8-9 weeks! I posted a picture of my 8 week scan earlier on in this thread if you wanted to see what you might be able to see? It's even more worrying when you do know what to expect! I've found that I'm comparing pregnancies even though I know that no two are the same!

Congratulations Terri.J! I'll add you to the front page now :) it's around 8-9 weeks. I'll be 9 weeks before I see my midwife (next week). If you are at all concerned about your cramps I would call your local early pregnancy unit. My GP was rubbish (and I was messed around a bit) but in the end I was booked in for a 6 week scan and then a follow up at 8 weeks (which I had on Wednesday). They generally won't scan unless there's good reason to and unfortunately a worried mummy isn't good enough apparently! We have a really good support network in this thread so hopefully we can help you feel a little less anxious about it all! :hugs:

Hi congratulations and welcome to our latest bfps! Amazing to see so many this month!

I've had a terrible day,non stop sickness so ended up going to the doctors and getting cyclizine. Worked a treat last pregnancy but so far today it hasn't helped at all! Hoping it just takes a couple days ymto get in my system as can't even keep juice down at the moment. DD is off to sleep at grans for two nights tomorrow so will be resting up this weekend and so looking forward to seeing our Lil bean on Saturday!

Can't wait to hear about your scan tomorrow Holli, hopefully they can give you a Edd so you know more where you're at xx

Good luck holli for today. I hope it goes well. Feel like i havent caught up properly so a big congratulations to all the new bfp's this week xx

We've had loads of :bfp: over the last month! :D

And because I get excited far too easily - tri 2 for us next month ladies!

Hi Terri, congratulations, I'm currently estimated to be be due the day after you. I'm having my first midwife appointment at just over 9 weeks. I think that's fairly normal. I did have an early scan because we conceived on clomid and I think that's standard procedure to check your not carrying a litter. Like Cossie said - mine was just a (very cute) little blob with a tiny heartbeat. I think a few people have booked private scans to put their minds at ease.

Sorry to everyone really suffering with morning sickness!! I feel constantly nauseous but have only been sick a couple of times so far. Mrs cookie & cossie I hope you feel better soon!

Good luck today Holli!

Right - I'd better get myself organised and go to work - is anyone else getting comments from their colleagues yet? I've had a few about how tired I look, the fact I'm constantly eating and drinking ginger and that I generally just seem a little unfocussed... it'll be a relief to tell them so they can stop thinking I'm turning into a completely crazy person!! :)

Have a good day everyone x
