appointment date booked

I would imagine they will do all the tests for you anyway, just refuse any treatment unless you are on a stop smoking course or similar. I think it would be like if you have to lose or gain weight, they do the tests and then you have to hit target before treatment begins. You never know he might be able to do it if it came to it.

I am not a fan of this if it is meant to be it will be, you can almost guarantee that sort of thing is said by people who had no problems when they were ttc. Very rude and insensitive of them to say to people who have problems, although to be fair they might think they are being kind saying it, it still isn't helpful and doesn't make you feel better.

At our appt we got lots of questions from the fertility nurse regarding lifestyle, how often you (get together,) etc.

My friend's fertility doctor was foreign and told her and her husband to "meet often"!

I hate that. As if people who have problems conceiving or aren't lucky enough to have children at all somehow deserve it. You're right, its never said by people in the same boat as us.

You will still get all the tests done hun, they just wouldn't do IVF or IUI whilst either person smokes. I agree, I hate those kinds of comments. Very insensitive and not helpful to anyone who has been trying a long time xx

Hi honey bear :) regarding your and oh smoking - did you consider trying with cig? I and oh decided to give a go at it feeling really desperate after many failed attempts. I think i,ve tried everything, hypnosis, Allan cars book, cold turkey, zibon with nhs, cutting down. Lost faith that I will ever quit. I did hate myself for failing. Now I didn't touch a cigarette since 14 December, using less and less of ecig and less nicotine content. I'm sure that within next 3 months will be free. My oh uses it only when he has a drink. Worth giving a go.
