Is there anyone who is in the first few weeks of pregnancy at the moment who wakes up with a dry throat? Its happening every night/morning regardless of how much fluid I drink in the day - and I dont think Im snoring just yet! I seem to be incredibly thirsty but not so in the daytime, more in the evening and in the night. Comments appreciated, thanks! :)

im not opregnant but i dont remember doing this with my pregnancies maybe i just cant remember lol x

i had a RAGING thirst in the first tri with this one and my last :)

I did last time, not yet thiss time but the nausea is only just setting in so am expecting it :)

Yep me too! Find I have to take a drink to bed and sip through the night - along with lots of loo breaks!!!

eeeee!! :) nausea at this stage thats a really strong sign maybe its multiples hehehe!!!!!

Evie x x x x x x

^ it was worse last time and it was singular, wouldn't mind twins though, would save me having to work on convincing dh that we need another next year

I'm not now, but come to think of it yes i was doing, i was really thirsty and couldn't understand it, because as soon as i woke up i was busting for a wee but also felt very thirsty, i don't think all the sickness at the time helped it though x

Yep, I have that exact same feeling. Just as you described - not so much in the day, but am drinking pints in the evening. Normally, I don't like to drink much too close to bedtime cos i hate getting up in the night, but at the moment I'm necking pint after pint of squash and water and am still thirsty!!! I think most of it is being stored around my middle as none of my clothes fit and I'm definitely not weeing the equivalent pints and pints!!! I hope this is normal...?

Ickleprawn I think we are in the same boat (surrounded by water!) so I think it is probably normal. Againt his morning I felt as if I had drunk a case of red wine, dry as dry!

We finally have snow too now, guess its going to cover the whole of the UK.

Yep, same here, I've woken up with a dry mouth every morning for the last few days, it seems to be worse each morning too so maybe I'm not drinking enough, although I'm already drinking way more than usual! Ditto with what seems to be water retention - I feel like a water balloon, if someone popped me I feel like I'd shrivel away to nothing and just leave a horrible mess on the floor lol

This is good to hear, I keep waking up in the morning with such a thirst, I am only 5 weeks so very early stages but am drinking for two!

I have been fine all day but now its past 5pm Ive started on the squash - already polished off a bottle of orange in the last few days. It still doesnt seem to be enough though, still thirsty in the night but weirdly enough not waking up for a wee like last time (maybe thats to come in the next few weeks!)

I have started taking 2 glasses of water to bed, one for the night and one ready for when I wake up gasping! The past couple of nights I have woken at 4am thirsty and so hungry my stomch hurts and coupldnt sleep through it. So last night I packed off the bed at 8.30pm with a tray of bread & butter and 2 glasses of water. Much to my family's ammusement! Did the trick though, aside froma few brief wakings for the loo I slept til 7am! woo!

 bread and butter! Thats great! I find I get really hungry just as I get into bed, maybe thats why I have been feeling sick when I first wake up in the morning - perhaps I'll pack my lunchbox!

oooh me too it drives me insane at night because i dont want to drink coz i hate waking up all the time needing a wee x

yeah me too, I try really hard not to disturb my OH but I think I wake him up every time! maybe its our bodies way of preparing us to cope with very little sleep for whn little one arrives!
