All ladies worried about fundal height/measuring large/small for dates

Please don't worry! Had 37 week midwife appointment today and my fundal height was 49cm! I am officially mahoosive. We know from scans baby is in the larger size, but I do feel a little bit like an elephant. 3 people have asked me how overdue I am (er still have 2 and a bit weeks to go) and my friends 2year old asked me why I was a snowman now. Have been a size8 for past 10 years so can only assume it's showing more lol. Midwife did call consultant at hospital to see if he'd do a sweep to get things going (I think it's a little early as not 38 weeks til Sunday) but he is away skiing and not happy to pass my care over to another doctor. Anyway, no real concern only thing mw said was when waters go, "drop everything, don't even attempt to drive and call an ambulance as it'll be like the Old Spice advert"...she did say that measuring height was quite antiquated and not accurate but we had a bit of a giggle as people do literally stop, stare and point at me!

Lol I look like I've swallowed about three beach balls, my first son was only 3lb when born. Think this one weighed that on conception. Wish I'd taken more bump pics really, start now lealea so you have about ten weeks of bumpage pics! X

Awww Im sure itll be fine hun! Tbh I dont think all this measuring and guessing the weight from the scans are accurate anyway. I got HUGE with my son and he was only 6lb 12oz.

I was measurin 39 weeks last week lol,not concerned cos personally I think the fundal height is more to make sure baby is growin and not an estimate on how much baby will weigh. My best friend literally measured off the chart wen she was 39 weeks (the dot was in the writin above the graph!) and her baby was 9lb 7oz...big but not enormous and no where near wot the graph had him at lol xx

Yeah I had a scan last week at 31 weeks and they said LO is measuring 36 weeks and I've got to have another the week before xmas too...They basically told me I've going to have to have an epidural due to his size when I saw the anethetist It's not like I have GD or anything I'm just having a giant baby lol

At my 32 week appointment I was measuring 29cms, and every appointment before that I have measured 2 cms smaller than dates, random! I'm a size 10 and not looking that huge I dont think compared to most at similar stages to me! I'm not too worried and quite like the idea of a smaller baby lol x

Lol everytime I look at bump I giggle, it does feel weird but have funny feeling I'm going to miss it a nit even once I have baby in my arms!

Lol Mommakat, it's getting difficult! I have to pysche myself up to get up, spending most of the time on yoga ball as easier to roll off and up! Only 3 and a half weeks max of behaving like one of those weeble toys! Hopefully you've not got much longer hun x

When I was pregnant with my son, by the end I was quite big and everyone kept saying how strange it was that I dont look pregnant from behind. I never got it, I mean why would you look pregnant from behind? lol still took it as a compliment though


And wow your bump is amazing ... your gonna feel bare without it
