_>•~*X*~July 2015 Mummies-to-be!!!~*X*~•<_

I only just noticed all the fun stuff and everyone's dates etc on the first page!! My EDD needs changing as I was put a week ahead at the scan - due July 13th now instead of the 20th :)

On which note; how late is everyone planning on working up till? I'm a teacher and summer term ends on the 3rd of July - which had been fine for a due date of the 20th, but now it's the 13th I'm not so sure I'll be up to going up to the end. I'll be telling my headteacher when we go back tomorrow so I guess I'll get some advice then..!

Anotheryou im a teacher too, primary, my due date is 12th July, my school doesn't break up until 19th July so I'm planning on starting my mat leave at 38 weeks, 29th June. I have two children, both born in September so im used to having the whole of summer hols at home while heavily pregnant so have never worked beyond 32 weeks!!!! Could be interesting!!!

With DS, I worked the Sunday, started may leave on the Monday, and gave birth early Friday morning.

With him I had a textbook "as uncomplicated as it gets" pregnancy, and was lucky I got to do a lot more paperwork stuff later on so I wasn't spending all day on my feet.
(I'm a manager with Wetherspoon so spend 50 hours a week on my feet working in a pub).

I'm hoping to do similar this time around, but I'll have to see how it goes. Ima put in for as late as possible again and not go off early unless I absolutely have to.

I've updated your due date hon xx

Iv been thinking about this AnotherYou, where I work most ladies start there maternity 4 weeks before their due date, but I feel like I want to go as long as I can so that I can get as much time after the birth to spend with baby. But this being my first pregnancy, I don't know how i will be feeling toward the end of pregnancy! It's a toughie!! X

Cheers Lacey, and also Jenny and Kaylip for timings advice! I'm lucky in that length of maternity leave afterwards isn't such a problem, as my teaching contract ends at the end of the school year anyway - though I also have a residential boarding role (just 2 evenings a week plus the occasional weekend) that, all being well, I'm planning to continue in September.

I'll see what comes of talking to the headteacher and it may come to seeing how I feel in the last half term... Also first pregnancy so I just have no idea, also knowing everyone is different!

I'm thinking of finishing end of June, giving me just under 2 weeks at current date guesses, but will see how things are near the time

Hi girls,

Im planning on working right up until due date and then going back after 6 weeks part time, I run the company so not a lot of choice!! Hopefully will be able to to!

Yikes I don't envy you that BonzE!! Hope all will go smoothly for you to be able to as planned :-) x

I plan on w9rking up till 3nd of june and having beginning of july off to relax and do last min jobs xxxx

Thanks hun! Luckily my father will step in and cover me for a few weeks/ months if needed! I have mea flexible hours as does hubby so not so bad!!

Last London scan Tuesday! Then I'm nhs and 'normal' can't wait!! X

I'm also a teacher in primary. We break up on 17th July. My plan is to work to 38 weeks (ish) which is 26th June!! But will all depend on how I feel!!xx

I had the most vivid dream about the birth last night. Born on 30th June at 3:39am. Loads of hair. Baby girl born after 2 hours of labour and 3 pushes!! 1 puff of gas and air. OH said (in dream) that he had more gas and air than me!! Sounds doable!!! Haha. Xx

Twinkletoes I want this birth story!!

Back to work today, 6 am didn't feel as bad as I had anticipated! 14weeks today...hooray x

Twink, that practically IS my last birth story...

Baby (although a boy), born at 3:35am after just a couple hours pushing, one puff of G&A (although because it made me sick, lol), full head of dark hair...

It's funny how dreams can suddenly get you like that.
Has it made you switch to girly-names now?

Hope everyone's okay :) xx

Went to bed last night and was like "wow hello heartburn" was awfull :(
I hate work :(

I had a slightly similar birth story first time around (the last part at least), although it lasted a bit longer. Waters broke at 23.50 on Christmas day! Managed to get most of a nights sleep and rang hospital at about 8am the next morning. Got shouted at for not going in the previous night, but then made our way to hospital. Spent 3 hours in triage because they didn't really believe I was in labour. We did hypnobirthing, so I wasn't screaming the place down through each contraction, my DH and I just sat there calmly reading books, then breathed together through the contraction, then carried on reading. When the eventually examined me at about 1pm they found I was 8cm dilated and rushed me down to the birthing pool. I spent about 3 hours in the pool - had one breath of gas and air and Ben was eventually born with about 3 proper pushes - just about when I could actually feel his head about to come out!

In terms of when I'll work do, EDD is now 14th July for me, and I've just been trying to work out ML dates etc and how long I'll have off. I'm planning to work to 3rd July, so I'll be about 38 and a half weeks. Might be slightly risky, as Ben was born at 38 and a half weeks, but I have a desk job, so it's not very strenuous, and the longer I can work before baby is born the longer I can have off with the baby afterwards. But we will see nearer the time.

Other exciting news is that as I have been typing this, I've had a call from meetyourbaby.com to book my 16 week gender scan for 31st January!

Morning all,
I'm kind of back, still taking things easy since my dad passing away but felt like coming and saying hello! It was weird clicking on the 2nd trimester thread I've been so used to being in the 1st I thought it would never end!
I have my scan tomorrow at 2:45 (finally!) and going by my 9 week scan dates I should be 13+3 so hopefully should get a nice picture of bubs! I'm excited and nervous all at the same time I guess that is normal! I don't think I could cope if something were wrong or if all the stress I've been through has done something to harm the baby! Anyway I shouldn't think like that I'm sure it'll all be ok!
Hope you are all doing well.
xx

Boosh- good to.see you back. Hope your doing okay and hope tomorrow goes well. Cannot wait to see pics :) xxx
