3rd SA result

So we got hubby's 3rd SA result back and morphology and motility remain unchanged (morph still only 3% normal forms) but count has improved to 36.4 mil/ml and total spermies concentration has increased to 185.6 million (first test were 13 mil/ml and 68 mil total concentration). So still not great, especially the morphology, but certainly better and proof the vits etc are working. Will see how the fertility doc interprets them on Thursday x

Definitely sounds better, maybe they will keep improving the longer he takes the vitamins.

It can't hurt i don't suppose so we'll keep at it for a while longer for sure. I feel so up and down about the whole thing, one minute optimistic and the next a great sense of doom that something on top of the sperm is preventing things from happening, i'll be quizzing the fertility doc about all my results so far in a lot more details on thursday and hopefully they'll book me in for an HSG too xx

I'm the same one day I feel fine and the next I feel like it's not going to happen. That's good you have another appt to look forward to, it helps to have something to focus on. xx

Hello Dee,
Me & my OH have our 1st appointment on Friday at the Gynaecology dept for SA problems.. Do you mind me asking, was it the hospital that requested more SA analysis or your doctor?

My OH is so anxious and doesn't know what to expect at our first appointment, would be a great help if you could shed any light

Hi, the first my gp asked my hubby to see a separate gp and request it, it was really bad so his gp requested the second and in the meantime referred us to the fertility clinic. I asked hubby to ask his gp for the form and pot needed to request a third as I wanted the most up date info for our appointment and because it has now been three months on the vitamins etc and it takes that long for sperm to replenish fully. Our surgery had been fine with requesting the extra test and indeed the test in the first place. Has your hubby just had the one test? I've no idea what they'll do at our appointment either xx
