16 month old fever and napping!

So as the title says my 16 month old has come down with a fever since yesterday afternoon. Gave him some Calpol before bed and as expected he had a very restless night. He seemed a little better this morning, fever had reduced slightly. He got very sleepy slightly earlier than nap time so I put him down early....this was at 9.30, it's now 12.30 and he's still sparko! I've been regularly checking in him and he seems ok....my gut says let him sleep but was just after some advice.

If he had a very restless night, chances are he really needs the rest now he's feeling a little better. Personally - and also because you say it's your gut feeling - I would let him sleep. When either of my 2 have fevers and are unwell, I just check that their breathing is nice and steady and they're not too hot.
