Worried sick!

Hi, im 6 weeks pregnant. Yesterday night had light bleeding with a tiny clot, enough to show in my underwear though. I went to the hospital they booked me in for a scan on Tuesday. I've had cramps since before i missed period so that isnt concerning me. Has anyone else had bleeding, but found out baby is ok?

I had bleeding around 7 weeks and again at 9. The first lot of bleeding was more of a pinky discharge and only once or twice a day for a few days so I didn't worry too much about it. I had an early scan at 7 weeks and all was fine. I then started bleeding again the other day and it was more fresh blood and a lot more frequent so I went to a&e and had tests done and was kept in overnight for a scan the next morning. Everything was fine. They couldn't tell me the reason for the bleed just that my baby was fine. I would try not to worry and just wait for the scan. It must be really hard to wait so long. I only had to wait around 12 hours and even I was at my wits end. Whatever will be will be but I was told although bleeding isn't normal it is common and many women continue to have healthy babies. I had spotting on and off the first tri with my first baby and was absolutely fine. Try not to worry too much, hopefully you'll feel better after the scan xx

I don't have any words of wisdom to add but didn't want to read and not reply. My understanding is that bleeding in early pregnancy is fairly common and the likelihood is that things are ok. I can understand you won't be really reassured till you get your scan though. I hope you can manage to put it out of your mind as much as possible until Tuesday. Good luck.

I read somewhere its also to do with the colour of the blood? I bled with my first and it was quite heavy and she was fine hun x

Just had my scan, everythings ok, and theres a heartbeat aswell! but they told me ive only just gone 5 weeks

I bled at 7 and 14 weeks had epu scan at 7+2 weeks baby tiny flickering heartbeat seen all fine although they said I was 6 weeks (I wasn't my dates were bang on). Had scan at 14+3 weeks as couldn't find heartbeat abdominally baby wriggling and looked like a little alien. All fine had anti d injection. Baby born at 39 weeks all good.
