Im supposed to be staying calm but just seen the MIL and she was saying we need to know when to stop. We haven't even bloody started yet!!! Aargh!! Gonna fight this all the way. We need support not people giving up on us before we have even started!!!

I'd stop discussing it with her after this. Keep things between you and OH or talk to people who can show a bit more sensitivity towards your situation. Some people just can't seem to find the right words and rather than say nothing, they come out with something that they probably should've kept to themselves. Take care x

Just spoken to my OH and he is going to have words, she really got to me today and knew it as well as she remained in the other room out of my way afterwards. I didn't even start the conversation, she did!! She just needs a bit of belief and hope... She doesn't have any of that and needs to figure it out. Her husband, daughter and son in law were all there but In another room when this happened, I wish they had seen it as would have prob told her to stop it there.. I've already resorted to not telling her stuff... We are gonna do it our way with or without her, everyone else is being amazing!!! We just need support xxx

My OH had a really long conversation with her last night, basically told her we must keep trying and told her some of the success stories he has read online... That she needs to let us do what we feel we need to and we will be seeking second and further opinions... And basically keep to herself what she thinks. Think it sunk in a little... I'm just staying clear for a while...

Think she is finally starting to understand what we are going through. I know its not easy for everyone involved but think we may have turned a corner. I think her seeing she upset me made her realise she needs to accept what we have to do. She has even been reading up success stories on the Internet.
