I got discharged from hospital on new years eve..... I contacted what felt like the worst flu ever.

Got better then hubbys came down on Monday n now I'm sick again. He brought me germs!!! I want to kill him. My immune system was always pants but it's kiffed now I'm pregnant.
Why do Ppl come near me with germs. Stupid or what!!!

Grrrrrrrrrrr.

If a normal person gets a cold within a week they can get rid of it.
If I get a cold it takes me 3 weeks to clear it but also by day 2 or 3 it's gone to my chest n BANG!!!! Instant chest infection. All cos I have no tonsils


I'm just pissed off!! He knew his mum was sick, he knew he had it so why come near me.

I don't Like antibiotics but ima be stuck on them for 10 days.
I don't want it to affect Elijah.

I pray he has a better immune system than me :'(

Might be an idea to consult your doc aboutthe flu jab. I had mine he other day and feel better for it, if not a bit feveiah due to my body building antibodies to 3 chains of flu.

The jab should also protect your baby boy from getting the flu too.x

I'm waiting for the drs to open at 8:15 so I can make an appointment for today.
I've banned him from coming near me if he has been around someone with germs.

It might be worth getting the jab Lea. Are you taking vitamin c every day, that reallys boosts me when I do that or buy posh fruit juice , iif OH doesn't drink it all first!

I finally got a call to say they were offering swineflu jabs for me yesterday!! I said I might not qualify now as I have my bavby 6 days ago, and she said oh no you don't now !!!

I didnt get a letter or call from my Drs I think I may have too. I was reluctant to get it as I don't like to play guinea pig ESP when medication is first released. But the fact I've been Ill twice n the space of two weeks it's needed.

I wasn't sure if that was a recent pic but baba is super cute. The more baby pics I see, the ansy I get n can't wait to have my Lil boy

I have been hesitant to say it, but I think it might be best.

It might be completley unrelatrd an in fact the midwife said that it's wasn't the case. But after I had the flu jab on Monday my stomach was hard pretty much all dy, and as you know I ended up having contractions every 5 mins for the rest of the night. The contractions stooped by morning, and docs couldn't say why I had had them, but gave me steriods just in case baby decided o come early.

Now the midwife said that they wouldn't offer the jab if it were to cause problems in pregnant women, Whig I believe... However I think it was a reaction made by my body. For example after my second steriod injection yesterday I ha a big contraction... Juts the one, but I did react.

Would I have the flu jab again? Yes, but I would have it around this time and not in early pregnancy as I think my body goes a bit wierd whn given stuff it's not used too! Lol anyway consult your doc/nurse first.

so if you do have a few contractions after the jab don't worry it should be ok, probs help the babe engage lol! Though you will have a bit of a temp for a couple of days...but will be worth not getting swine flu or your babe.x

Your do should have given you some antibiotics that are safe to use in pregnancy. I think there is a small cross over to baby, but it's Imoortant for the mother o be healthy so Antibiotic are needed.

There are some antibiotics that you should not take, but am sure doc wouldn't give you them unless it was a life and death situation- like swine flu and why not.x

anti bodies will cross over to the baby and they will be covered for the 1st 6 months so your baby will get protection too that what the nurse told me

its typical isnt it, the last few weeks of pregnancy and you get ill. today is the first day i have felt remotely better! it sucks! definately get the flu jab though. they arent sending out letters i dont think as i usually get one (i am asmatic) so they usually remind me when its due but they havent this time, i had to do it off my own back! x
