Who is not going to have the flu jab/swine flu jab?

I had the jab last Thursday. My MW assured me it's safe during pregnancy and gave me a leaflet about it and basically it scared me & my OH so I had it done! Like Febmum said, if it was harmful in anyway then they'd never recommend giving it to us!

I just hope any woman who decides not to have it done doesn't catch it.. That would be more damaging than having the jab to protect them.. x

I am supposed to be going to get it on Friday morning, I changed my mind and decided I didn't want to because of storys I had read, spoke to my MW yesterday though and she spoke to me a bit about it and gave me some leaflets and I think I'm going to go ahead and get it.

2 girls at my work were off over Christmas, one with flu and one with swine flu. There's another girl off just now aswell, and I'm so scared I pick up something from one of them because I'm around them 8 hours a day Monday-Friday. I'm not scared for me so much, just terrified of catching it for my babys sake. xxx

Im not sure what to do, im seeing my midwife tomorrow so ill be speaking to her about it, I had swine flu last year and I was fine but I know a couple of pregnant women who have been in hospital with it, it seams to effect pregnant women more they get more complications ect. Also on the news its saying kids need it doing too but we havnt had any letters from the doctor about getting it done so not sure if all areas are offering it to children or not as they never have in the past I find it very confusing and theres so many conflicting msgs about it in the media I dont no what to believe really x

I got the injection this year for the first time, I was sniffly for about a week. I would rather be sniffly than rigged up to life support and an ecmo machine.

I've never had the injection and am worried about a reaction but am still having it done. I'll just sit in he surgery for a bit just to be on the save side.

I had to leave the surgery straight away as I was running late for my next appointment. I did feel a wee bit funny but manage to have a seat at my next appointment and after a few minutes I was fine.

Ha mine done... Easy peasy. The vaccine they give you is not live, and all it foes is give you a dead arm for a bit.

So you know the nurse who gave me mine was 25 weeks pregnant and she had hers this morning. So if the nurse had it, then I am sure it's fineto have.

Better safe than sorry.x

When I see things like this, it makes my mind up for me.. People who are ill from the jab usually have under lying conditions. Caroline was a young healthy woman, and just today, my sisters friend has died from swine flu, while my old colleagues sister is critical and not expected to pull through. It's each individuals own choice, but I wouldn't think twice about it..
