Hi everyone!
It was confirmed yesterday that we are carrying a little baby girl with downs syndrome!

I am actually far more calm than I gave myself credit for! My poor OH has a father who is in denial and refuses to talk to him and acknowledge this as good news! Very sad for him.

Anyway - thank you for all of the support given over the last few horrendously traumatic weeks! Now it's time to start to enjoy my pregnancy! Move into tri 2 and relax even just a little bit!!!! Xxxx

Love your positive attitude and congrats on having a beautiful baby girl!!!
Unfortunately some of the older generations find it very hard to come to terms with any type of disability this may be due to the way people with a learning disability were treated and publicised when they were growing up!!
I'm sure when your little one arrives he'll melt it's impossible not too x x x

Congratulations on being Team pink and on your gorgeous baby girl. I think that you FIL will see when she is born that the downs just makes here even more of a fighter, more beautiful and more special than ever. Well done for your strong positive attitude. I was a 1-1 teaching assistant for special needs children in mainstream schools for 7 years and they really are the most special, amazing , humbling little people to work with. Although there with be tough times ahead your face will ache from the smiles and laughter she will bring to your lives. xxxxxxxxx
