I'm terrible and got our pram about a month ago, because I'm impatient and there was a bargain on ebay. I've also got a moses basket and a swinging crib and loads of sleep suits and rompers which were very kindly given to me by a lovely lady on this forum. At the moment I'm bidding on about 1 billion things on ebay, I'm trying to get everything cheap and second hand, so giving myself lots of time. I've not even had my scan yet. 
OH's mum bought us our nursery furniture in mamas and papas but we asked them not to deliver until 1st June. The Dads are going to buy us our pram so will get that later. I get my work bonus at the end of april so am going to use that for all the nursery decor, bedding etc and get stared on the nursery at the start of may and as for clothes..I will start shopping after my 20 week scan when i *hopefully* know the sex

I started shopping at 18 weeks, we bought the pram, bottles, baby monitors etc. Getting the cot bed second hand so waiting for the mate I'm buying it off to get it ready to go.
Trying to buy most stuff second hand through EBAY wherever possible so we can save our money so I can have longer off work with bubs

I bought the pram at 6 weeks it was a bargin on ebay so i couldent resist but ive now also got a swinging crib, steriliser, bottles, lots of first size sleepsuits & cardigans.

I bought a sleepsuit, vest, hat & bib set about 10mins after my 12wk scan.
Then about 2 weeks ago got a second hand cotbed from ebay and a cot mobile
Bought two hooded bath towels on ebay yesterday which are adorable - one duck and one bear one, along with a mattress(new not used)
Bidding on a cot bumper today (so hands off if any of you are bidding)!!
Going to get a second hand Quinny pram from ebay too - just waiting for one to come up within travelling distance.
Also tend to be drawn to things while out so have picked up some booties & socks etc so far plus all my freebies including nappies, huggies beginnings basket, bounty pack etc
We're pretty skint as we're trying to get everything gradually over time. A friend of a friend works for Tommee Tippee Newborn Dept too so I've placed my order with her to get in staff sample sales where she can and with staff discount etc.Should get all that after Easter.

I've kind of started - got a few clothes and bits off freecycle, bought a really cute furry babygro in a sale cos I just had to have it lol, have found a pram off a friend of a friend that I'm pretty sure we're gonna get but not actually sorted it yet. Other than that, i'm actively looking on freecycle and I pop on ebay from time to tiem, but I still can't get my head round what we need, it's all too confusing. Trying to make a decision about which to get out of cots/cribs/moses baskets etc. but can't seem to make up my mind. Aarghh! My mum and sis have been going to town since my 12 week scan though I think, don't reckon I'm going to have to buy any clothes at all!
In the back of the mothercare catalogue is a good checklist of what to buy (although I don't think it's all necessary!).
Cot/crib wise etc - I don't have the room for a moses basket or crib in my bedroom so our baby is sleeping in a cot from the start. I read loads of reviews etc and in the end I chose a cotbed as it should last until the baby is around 4/5yrs old. I used Mothercare & Mamas & Papas for research and then bought one from ebay.

It's the whole bedroom thing that's confusing me I think, I really want the baby in with us and we've just about got room. But I wanted one of those bedside cots, only there's not really enough space, unless we take some bookshelves out of our room, which is a bit of a pain, but we could do it. Alternatively I guess we'd get a crib, but then what do they sleep in the rest of the time, like during the day when you want them in the living room with you or whatever? Do I have to get a moses basket or a carrycot or something as well? Seems like so much stuff just for a couple of months!

I have a carrycot off the pram for bubs to use downstairs this time, but last time i just used a bouncy chair downstairs & the one berore that i had a graco baby swing.
