When to wash?

When does/did everyone wash babys clothes? I don't want to do them too soon so they don't smell fresh but itching to do it. What's everyones thoughts? X

Funny you should post this... That's what I've spent the day doing washed them and put them all away in his draws and wardrobe

Haha in a nut shell I'm not, with a two year old in tow I've got to much washin as it is, n I love clothes that r fresh n never been warn, un creased

Things like blankets I have, vest etc I haven't as they r all in the packet so had no ones hands on em
also gone for things with out fancy things stitched to em so they can't fall of n baby get em in there mouth, remember readin summat in paper about a woman who bought vests with Lil logos stitched on n baby was dribbling that much the stitching cone away n baby pulled one of n chocked

i did all mine at about 33 weeks, washed ironed and put away in wardrobes/drawers. now people keep appearing with more clothes so keep having to do more. got a basket of clothes for him tht need ironing.

oh doesnt like it cos i dont iron our stuff. do it as we wear it. xxx

Im doing mine when i go on maternity leave next week ive been itching to do it for weeks but my OH keeps saying theres no point!

All i've washed is the 2 sets of clothes I picked up 2nd hand at a baby sale and his muslins to make them soft. I'm not bothering with the rest x

I'm not washing my either, can't be bothered adding more things to do to my already grwoing list. I have however washed all the balnkets and bedding because it did state on the packaging to do this. I did that about two weeks ago.

I've done all mine yesterday and today! It was bugging me that it's just another thing to do and wanted to get it ticked off the list. I've pretty much got my hospital bag ready, too. Amazed at my own organisation to be honest!

Well I finish work on 25th June so will probably do it then, 4 weeks before due date, I should of had my baby shower then too so will be good to do it all at once. In really excited to wash and iron it all. Deffinately doing everything, don't like the idea of putting my ickle bundle of joy in clothes other people have touched, even ones in packs with have been mauled during production and packing. I love that everything will all smell the same and all non bio for babies sensitive little skin, even gonna wash my hospital clothes and new jamas in non bio so it nice when holding baby. I'm such a saddo haha

Well we're both saddos then, because I washed my brand new nightie and PJ's because I knew I'd be holding baby in them too!

I've washed baba's clothes that we will be taking to the hospital, just done that yesterday, still have to do everything else though. I'm washing the brand new stuff too x x

I am itching to wash all my lovely babies clothes, but i'm waiting to get the set of draws that the clothes will go in... hoping to get some vouchers from someone soon.... then i can get my set of draws and start washing!!
