What's everyone's FAVOURITE dinner?

I'm trying to get OH to go get me Wensleydale cheese and crackers. I love Wensleydale!

He's not caving.

I bet he decides he wants some at bedtime, then sits and gets cracker crumbs in bed (we are truly disgusting lol)

At least that's a plus! :p

I'm so excited about food shopping, I can hardly wait!

How sad is that?! x x

Kizzibea - You've just reminded me of the most GORGEOUS cheese I had last Christmas which I *must* get again this Christmas..It was Wensleydale but with cranberries. Mmmm....! I had it on crackers last year and I gorged for days! x x

Ooh those are brilliant blinkies. Not going to get any work done tomorrow looking at them all.

We're terrible for cheese and stuff at bedtime. No nightmares here though... yet!

My Dad always gets that at Christmas and it only ever lasts about ten minutes, no matter how much he buys. I never got a chance to try it last year but I will definitely have some this year.

We've got a giant block of Wensleydale in the fridge at the moment, no one wants to be the one to have to open it and chop it into smaller manageable chunks.

Lol! I definitely recommend the cranberry one, I loved it. I also love the Bavarian smoked cheese.. I eat ALL of it all to myself in one sitting.

In my fridge I have no cheese at all.

x x

Sounds like you get the same cheeses as my family. I think we've had the smoked one before.

We had emmemental (sp?) the other week. Lovely. A massive pack of slices and we used it with pretty much everything!

Ooh, I'm really craving cheese now!

I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for the divine Wensleydale cheese tomorrow. Better check they sell it in Asda!

Ooh they sell FRERs in Asda too.... :p x

Asparagus risotto, thai prawn curry, ginger/chilli/garlic fried rice, homemade chicken escalope with neopolitan spaghetti, Falafels pitta salad with homous sour cream tziki tahini ooohhhhh yum I love food xxx

a few weeks back i bought jamie olivers 30 minute meal book - lots of fab recipes but my favourite is a sausage pasta, full of thyme, balsamic vinegar lots and lots of gorgeousness

BUT my fave meal is lamb shanks with red wine gravey and mash potatoe - devine! OOHH also LOVE my own home made curry even if i do say so myself ;) xx

Don't know where to start.......fav meal my husband cooks for me. Its a West African dish called Domoda. Chicken or beef with veg in a peanut based sauce served with rice. Sounds strange but its spicy and totally yummy!

Wedding.....I got Married in The Gambia and we had loads of different African dishes which were served on paper plates!! Ye cannae beat class!! It was also the best day of my life cos the sun was shining, married the man if my dreams and......FELL PREGNANT according to my dates on that very date woo hoo.....

Cheese - I try to avoid at all costs cos I LOVE IT. Any cheese, full of flavour. I just had last week Mexican Cheddar that has peppers in it. Oh and some smoked applewood..... have you ever tried Lockerbie Cheddar? Can highly recommend oh and Canadian cheddar is lush...... I'm drooling now but its just way too fattening....

Xmas pudding and mince pies.....puke, gag, boak.... lol. Can not beat raspberry pavlova with elmlea whipping cream. Actually, steamed golden syrup pudding really is a stodgy fav!

Thanks girls I'm all hungry now and I've put on 4 lbs in last 2 weeks but raving about lettuce and steamed veg and grilled chicken really does not get me excited!

Tracey - That dish sounds yummy, I've had a few African dishes before, discovered a liking for plaintain! :) (Think that's how you spell it?)

Wow, your wedding sounds AMAZING! And to fall preg on your wedding night - even better! :)

Cheese is a massive weakness for me, I love it. I only allow myself to buy one kind and DH makes me get the smallest size, I really should shop without him sometimes. :p

I had a toffee pavlova at my MIL's before I got married and it was gorgeous! Think she got it from Asda too... ;)

By the way, I do love a good salad, I'm just terrible with the dressings! I love Caesar salad with croutons and parmesan cheese with some chicken...YUM!

My gosh I think I've put on a few pounds just by reading this thread! x x
