I went on the pill after LO was born but my moods became unbearable. So i stoped taking it Monday and feel loads better.
But now I don't know what to do contraception wise.
We want to start TTC again when LO is between 12 and 18 months so the bar and coil are put of the question. I absolutly hate condoms and OH won't use the pull out method as he thinks its too risky.
I had the bar before we concieved LO
And before that we used condoms and the withdrawl method.
What would you ladies do? Xxx

You could track ovulation and avoid the high fertility days? This would allow you to sort your hormones off the pill and hubby to have his way?

I would ask GP if there was another pill i could try and see how that went?

Not all pills agree with us, i was on one called Microgynon and it so did not agree with me, changed to Cilest and have been on that on/off (except during trying to conceive lol) since i was 18 and been fine on that one xx

The pill I was given is microlite, wonder are they linked Jo?

Yeah maybe, id def ask GP if theres anything else you can try xx

Im on the depo and my first period on it has lasted 2weeks and counting! also i got very depressed the first few weeks after i had it, sent my hormones crazy so im in a similar position i need to change to something else after my 3months is up but im not sure what...i hope you find something that suits you soon. Xx

Larny & Hayden taptalking away :D

I'm having the same contraception quandary. I don't want to take any hormones and not fussed about condoms either. I find it hilarious that the health visitor is recommending implants when it took me 20 years to have this baby :) xx

I am on the mini pill and finding it fine...
Theres a bigger window on it now you dont have to take it at exact same time each day. The only drawback could be bleeding. You have no break on it but you could either bleed alot or not at all so its a trail and error thing

im gonna give the implant (in the arm) a go, ive been told the hormones leave your body 48 hours after it is taken out, doesnt hurt at all when being put in, but it is similar to the pill hormones, so it may have the same effect on you as the pill.

i was on cerazette (mini pill) and i had no side effects at all!! i just wont go back on it as im bad at remembering to take them. could ask to try that one xxx

Yeah some pills don't agree with me but cilest did. I think that one is one hormone and some are two? Not sure but there are many to try out there.

I have gone back on the mini pill and touch wood im finding this fine at the moment.

I refused to go back on the depo and I have known 4 people who have had the implant and have had them taken back out due to the problems they have had. I would go back to your GP and ask there advice.

Doc gave me the nuva ring...bit daunting but gonna try it and see how it goes.
