Jesus I'm so bad at taking the pill!

We've only DTD 3 times since birth ffs, I've been taking the pill very well for the last couple of weeks but we DTD Thursday, I've just taken my pill and realised I hadn't taken Thursday's!!!

Do you think bfing plus pill would be enough to rely on?

It depends on how lucky you are I guess. My sister fell both times taking the pill religiously (but wasn't bfing the 2nd time). Would you be that devastated if you fell so soon? You still have time to get the morning after pill xxxxxxxxx

I was told by my doc that bf is really good contraception until 5 months then it starts to reduce

maybe get the map? its good for 72 hrs after right? im crap every morning its a struggle to remember to take mine. kinda glad im talking oh into ttc in december lol

im realy crap at taking pills to that why i use Evra its brill work like the pill but in a patch form and you only have to worry about it once a week not everyday although not sure you can use it while bf, but like the others said have you considered MAP!! xx

Tyler is just over 5 months but he feeds pretty much every hour - 3 hours at night still so dunno if that makes a difference.

I asked for the patch and was told 'it's not something we give out'

I wouldn't be happy about being pregnant as my OH said 2 max () and I want to enjoy my baby and pregnancy again. He's already told me if I am I have to get rid of it (ha we'll see!)

I don't think it'll be an issue as long as you took all the others Hun.

You'd be pretty unlucky to get caught esp with the breastfeeding as well

I don't think you can take MAP while bf, I asked this in girly room.

Have you had a period?? If not id say that they way Ty feeds you should still be covered by the bf as contraception.

I read if they feed more that every 4hrs daily (6 at night) and you are ebf, then it's 98% effective till they are 6months. The prob comes when feeding stretches out - especially at night and people think they are still covered. Xxx

I've also heard that bf is actually a very good method of contraception (although, of course, still not 100% reliable) if you do it at least every 3 hours (day and night), which obviously you are. So hopefully you'll be fine!

When i was on the pill i missed a lot and never caught on, took a year of not taking it to actually get pregnant... but everyone is different some people get pregnant while on the pill! MAP wasnt for me so im sitting and waiting now we should make a group for our little Accidents lol x

Map's fine whilst bf, I had the chemist check I was bf when I fell preg with Ella, but K was sleeping 12 odd hours at night! I wasnt taking the pill tho xx

I think the bf will cover you tbh, Tyler feeds loads like Kynon does, most people who get caught have babies who sleep more and feed less!

I would think you will be ok. Anton still feeds quite regularly and i still havent had a period.
Just been to an ultrasounds and they said my ovaries are completetly inactive still.

I had the exact same kinda accident, I used to take my pill in the evening we DTD on a Wednesday morning and I forgot it that night, that was like 2/3 months ago and I'm not pregnant so I think you'll be ok, esp with the BFing as well. xx

My midwife got pregnant while BF it is not a reliable contraceptive, i do think the pill covers you if you miss it only once because it will still be in your system x
