If you would like to do a course to retrain, but cannot afford it or you would like to set-up your own business and you are under 26 years old then I would strongly suggest giving The Princes Trust a call. They can give you a grant (you don't repay) for your course fees, or a loan at a very low rate (2%) and they can also give you a wealth of advice on setting up your own business and help you with any issues including costs and legal advice.

You can also apply for something called a Career Development Loan to help you pay for education. The only two banks to offer this are Barclays and Co-op. You take out a loan at a low rate, and you only have to start re-paying it once your studies are complete.
