When does ovulation bleeding happen? Cuz I had some brown ewcm yesterday at cd11 but defo haven’t ov’d yet, been getting the pains etc though so it’s coming, not sure if it’s left over blood from AF or ovulation bleeding? I’ve never had it before but my bodies nothing like it was before my late miscarriage in May lol, trying to figure out if it’s a new pattern or if my bodies still settling down

I had my ovulation spotting on CD18, I’m CD23 today and just had my positive opk. I’ve had about 4 days of EWCM and had cramps on and off for about 5 days.

I’ve been thinking for the past few days that I’ve already ovulated and wasn’t going to bother doing an opk today. I did one out of curiosity and got this (see photo). This is how dark it’s got, if I’d tested about 2 hours later it probably would have been darker but I was in work. I’ve done another tonight and it’s a lot lighter.

So this month my ovulation date is CD24, was CD19 last month and CD25 month before that.

So i think i can say my od was yesterday i tested exactly 12 hours after yesterdays opk (wasnt intentional) and got this.

We dtd yesterday and the day before. I would go again tonight but i think that would be asking too much of my dh

You've got a nice stable cycle Lucky. The next two days will determine if I O'd on CD20 (Yesterday), which I really hope I did because if it's later than that our bd was a bust.

In it with you on that one...I tried with DH last night and ended up with a grump lol so, just accepting that we did all we can for this cycle. Told him that next cycle he'll just have to wait until my fertile week so that I can get maximum coverage. You should have seen that eye roll he gave me hahaha

Oh dont, my oh literally eye rolls all the time

even when i try and educate him, he doesnt really bother taking much notice

My doctor said we need to be doign it atleast 3 times a week - my first thought was 'hell no, why would i bother the week after my AF' - just seems pointless.

I have zero sex drive anyway, so oh just needs to be ready at the end of each month - but even that is effort for him

Same here! I try telling my OH there’s like literally 3 days a month you can get pregnant, it just doesn’t sink in, first time we had unprotected, nowhere near my fertile window I mentioned the next day I had a headache he was asking me if I was pregnant, I was like erm no.....

There’s bloody no chance I’ll be doing it 3 times a week every week, I have very little inclination unless it’s the fertile window!

just read the SMEP plan - I think I will do that, maybe not the start, but the bit after od.

So I ovulated yesterday, and dtd, so should ideally be doing it tonight, but that won't happen, so will try and get oh on it before he goes to work

I swear I have learnt something new everyday since wanting to have a mini IVW

Yeah I would like to try the SMEP plan, not sure if I would get that much BD out of OH though, he’s taking a much more relaxed approach to me (annoyingly)

Don’t worry too much IVW about doing more BD now if you are sure you’ve already ovulated, the egg just doesn’t last long, it takes the sperm hours to get to the tubes and they have to go through a process called capacitation before they can fertilise the egg which takes around 8 hours, Mother Nature gave us EWCM to keep the sperm alive in there waiting for the egg, so the egg is fresh when it gets fertilised, it has a much better chance of implanting then

I am sure about the smep plan as I thought it’s best to have sex before ovulation. With smep it seems to be after correct me if I am wrong?

It’s both before and after really maximus but it concentrates on doing as much as possible as soon as you get your positive opk - for the majority of women a positive opk means ovulation will happen in the next 1-2 days and the SMEP plan tells you to BD when you get your positive OPK so there’s sperm waiting for the egg, then the next 2 days incase ovulation hasn’t happened close to the positive OPK, it tells you to do it every other day before from
CD10to get a good supply in there and cover the possibility of ovulating before a positive OPK

God theres so much conflicting information out there but thats nothing new I suppose.

See I would think maybe a day or two before ovulation and you're still in with a chance and the smep plan is more after ovulation - I think I am just not wanting to not lose any opportunity this month, so when I read the smep plan, I thought, sod it, oh can go once more

But, we are all different at the end of the day and some might be more susceptible to fall pregnant a day before od and others after - you just never know.
