Which ones do you use and how much are they?

We have been told to get my oh on male vits for conception and I also need to keep on some so wondering which everyone uses and which you would recommend. Cost is a consideration for us too so has anyone found any own brands that are the same make up as the big brands for less money?

Just interested to hear peoples experiences.

Thanks :)

My OH take the wellman conception vits and they made a massive difference to his SA. I used to take the womens version but I have changed to zita west vits this cycle. The pregnacare ones I took before cost around £6 and my OH ones around the same price online. Boots do 3 for 2 on vits and superdrug often have some money off. The zita west ones I am taking now cost a little more at £10 x

My husband has been taking these for two months now, and his count is still very, very low. This might be due to his own problems rather than the effectiveness of the tablets, but just thought I'd add a balance to the conversation. Having said that, they are not that expensive if you buy direct from the vitabiotics website, and anything's worth a shot.

As for the girly side, while folic acid is important for baby, there is no medical proof that vitamins can help you conceive. Having said that, they won't do you any harm.

They say it takes three months for them to make a difference as that's how long it takes for sperm development (or something like that). Have you heard of Solgar VM-75. These are apparently more potent and some people on here have had success on here when their OH have taken them. Like you say though, it depends on what the issues are as to whether the vitamins can make a difference. Worth a try though I think x

I'm taking folic, vitamin C, zinc and vitamin B complex. Pretty random concoction but that's what I started taking and I fell pregnant.... OH is just on zinc & vitamin C. Tried to get him to take Wellman but "they're too big" - what a baby!! xx
