Unconscious peeing myself or my waters?

Hi

Really embarrassing but I've just been to the cinema and when I got up I was soaking. I went to the loo and I had soaked through my panty liner, pants and jeans.

I thought it smelled like pee but hubby doesn't (he's a bit of a drama queen though!!) so he got me to call triage. I've to walk around with a maternity pad on and if it gets wet I've to go in to be checked.

Thing is, if I'd pee'd myself, would I have felt my bladder moving? Or could it have just been trickling? x

Waters breaking are a uncontrolable sensation. It's similar to when you might feel having a period on to a sanitary towel (scuse the graphics) but it's something you can stop. if you did notice yourself peeing I would have thought you would feel your bladder emptying. I would certainly monitor your wetness and get bouncing on the ball for an hour x

I have been peeing myself in small amounts for weeks, sometimes its discharge, I never know where its coming from if I am honest and sometimes think its leaky waters until I do a sniff test. Gross I know!
So it may be possible for it to be pee!? Have you generally been involuntarily peeing?

I get a lot of wetness, sometimes my knickers are wet even though I always wear liners. I've had a test done to see if it was my waters, they said it wasn't. I don't know if it's wee, sweat, discharge or all three! I remember having it with DD too though so perhaps it is normal; Keep an eye and there's no harm going in to get checked over if you're worried.

Thanks ladies! I've wet half a maternity pad through in a hour so changed it and am waiting to see what the second pad is like. Fluid is clear but I think it still smells like pee or wet to me. Have kept the pad I took off and will call triage back in a few mins. I don't think it's anything but would rather be checked out I think. Even if it is 11pm...x

Doesn't quite sound right Belfa. I agree with your hubby. Would get it checked out, you won't sleep tonight if you don't anyways. Really hoping its pee xx

Never thought I'd wish I'd pee'd myself! Am sitting in triage as, since I wet the pad they want to see it and check me over but they didn't sound concerned x

Hi ladies, thank you for checking on me . All is well, it was excessive discharge but when I got attached to the trace baby was wild so I had to stay on it for over an hour. Turns out I was having tightenings every 10mins too though I can't feel them but I know it will probably mean nothing in terms of when I'll actually go in to labour!

I was horrified as I knew the doctor from school!!

Not looking forward to work as I didn't really sleep after all the fuss and I've got my work leaving dinner tonight as well x

I think I got to bed around 2am once I'd showered etc and I really should have come in late but I'm a glutton for punishment! DH was of course out for the count by then and snoring, poor lamb .

Yeah it was loads of discharge! Baby is definitely creating a slip and slide so that I'll just sneeze and he'll pop right out
