Had to share x

Aaahw they are so adorable! Every time I log on I get a full blown pic of your boys MrsB lol. Keep them coming! x

Morning everyone x

Just wondering if anyone else has had this, I've always had a bit of a squishy belly at the bottom & since getting bigger with my bump it's still a bit soft and squishy like a little over hang ? Sounds gross that term lol but the last week or so it's been really tender as if it was bruised and sore to touch, has anyone else had this? X

MrsB that is soo cute! Looks like you're getting out quite a bit with them which is great.

Sarah, no I can't say I have had that but I expect it's another normal, glorious pregnancy thing!

I've got consultant this afternoon. I'm hoping to push (hah) for an induction date, although last time they said they only needed to book it a few days in advance. I want an end date for my sanity! Also need to mention that twin2 has decided to stop moving much again. Cheeky baby xx

Could it be the Clexane Sarah? Or kicking feet! Do you have an appointment soon so you can ask?

Naughty Twin 2 Laura! I don’t think I'll get an induction date until after my consultant appointment next week! Talk about last minute!

Ladies who have had their twins, when were you induced, how long did it take, how long were you in for and how much did they weigh please?

Blue hubby said that he said even though I've stopped it it could be where we were injecting for so long so maybe your right? I've got an appointment next week so I'll ask then see what they think, maybe it's their heavy heads lol x

The bottom of my bump was always squishy but they were never head down x

Thanks girls x

Another one, I'm not sure if I'm having braxton hicks or if one of the babies is just doing a big shape stretch ? It goes all tight & hard and slightly uncomfortable and sometimes it goes an odd shape lol

Well I mentioned a bit of reduced movement to the consultant and she went all out and got me a scan with a FMS tomorrow and monitoring straight away, so I've just spent like 4 hours at the hospital! It was good of her to take it seriously. Monitoring was fine anyway as I'm sure scan will be tomorrow.

Tried to get an induction date, but she said that they don't like to do them in advance because they end up changing them and disappointing people. She said after my scan next week (the last one!) they will either decide to induce me closer to 36 weeks if growth has tapered off, or closer to 37 weeks if they're still getting bigger.

Good luck with your scan although I'm sure you won't need it x

Scan was a bit dodgy in the end MrsB, but they're monitoring me daily and I've got another scan with the specialist lady tomorrow so fingers crossed things have picked up and won't need to deliver TOO soon. I've only got 3 weeks max to go anyway.

Ladies.. I asked the midwife today at the hospital whether she's delivered many twins (just casual chit-chat while she was setting up the ctg thing) and she said "not many in my 13 years here, most get c-sections" which really alarmed me! I didn't think it was that unusual. It's a major hospital too, they deliver about 6,000 babies per year. It's kind of scared me because I was hoping that it was relatively common.. xx

Oh no, at least worst case scenario it is only 3 weeks maximum ... are you nervous yet? My obstetrics dr was adamant that I had full chance of delivering naturally even though they were footling breech - she just kept saying they might turn, a lot of people were honest and told me it was more likely a section.

On a safety note it is much safer for section especially with identical twins x

Don't tell me that.. all the consultants here have said section or vaginal both perfectly safe with identical twins (mine don't have risk of entanglement because they have separate sacs). I have my induction booked now for 23 December. Definitely very nervous. xx

I am so nervous about the possible c section. My hairdresser had 2 & said they were fine but I want to be able to pick both babies up for feeding etc.
Want to go swimming to give twin 1 a last chance to turn but now got a horrible cold, sore throat and cough. :( Plus a massive ulcer on my tongue, feel yucky!

Oh no I hope you feel better soon, you are allowed to pick your babies up :) they will be very helpful and pass you them during the night etc, I bottle fed and a midwife came to feed one with me while I was in the hospital - my husband was there during the day so he passed me one and did the other.
But they are so helpful try not to worry too much the worst part of my section is my overhang that I have been left with x
