I find orange juice or prune juice helps, you are also allowed to take Fybogel (says it is safe on the back of the box). Sounds painful!!!

I used to get this even before I was pg. It's really painful and im sending you lots of hugs. I'm afraid i never found anything that made it easier so I just had to put up with it. :(

xxxx

omg totally know where ur coming from, i finally managed to go a lil bit today im sure its been like a week! i feel like that advert where she puts all her food in her handbag and lugs it around with her, my OH has been joking that im having a food baby! I bought some bran flakes (half price in tesco :) ) and hoping thats gonna help! xxxx

YES!! I have had the exact same problem, I have been taking lactulose to help me go it's awful!

iv been stuffing my face with fruit, and its helping slightly... yeah my oh thinks im a little weird but iv shown him this thread and at least he understands its not just me now, i was starting to feel like i was the only one!!

gud luck with the bran flakes, think i may have to pop to tesco..... :)

x

i find the more rubbish I eat the better i am at going to the toilet, when I eat fruit and veg it bungs me up! Swear I am being tested by my little bean have gained all my weight I lost before conceiving through my craving of Cheese, Cheese and more cheese!!!

Have a cheap indian takeaway ? *snigger*

Sorry, Had to , Im the same at the minute, and have to agree.. Eat JUNK! If I eat lots of fruit and veg.. I dont go for like 4-5 days. But if im eating junk, then im more regular, But still ouchies. Getting gas aswell >.< Im as bad as my OH at the moment, though least mine are silent! lol

The doctor just gave me Fybogel, which you can also get over the counter.
My only problem is the last time i took Fybogel i unfortunately had a terrible tummy bug and now just associate Fybogel with my tummy bug, which isn't good when suffering MS.
Maybe a takeway might do the trick ;)

Sorry off topic, I got the notify email about the reply and it said "CountryBumpkin" I had to laugh cause I was listening to Hank Thompson's song, Country Bumpkin! xD

What form is Fybogel? Capsule , pill etc?

Think fybogel comes in sachets that dissolve in a glass of water, but don't quote me!

fybogel does come in sachets that you dissolve in water and drink straight away, it then forms a gel :) x

Dont much like the sound of that.. Whats it taste like? lol

I have been taking this recently, never seem to have shifted this problem since when I was pregnant.
It tastes orangey and unfortunately tastes a little like sandy sprinkles in water, but it's only a small amount , didn't realise it forms a gel when inside you tho! I should read the box more, (or perhaps the name should have given it away!)

Prune Juice is fantastic to get you going!!!!! Only thing is, it gives you tremendous wind aswell lol!!!!!

thanks ladies for all the responses, i went to doc and got lactulose solution and it seemed to help, i also used windeeze tablets for the wind pains both safe in pregnancy still having a bit of bother but not half as bad, what we all go through eh? lol worth it though xxxxxx

glad things are getting better for u! :) xxx

I just eat loads and loads of strawberries...it seems to work for me..:D

Sometimes *shhhh*....I even dip them in chocolate... hehe xx

im illergic to strawberries or i would have tried it sucks. but my son aint well at mo so making it harder for me dont mean to sound ungrateful lol xxx

Also pear juice is meant to be good. Glad you got something to help you, i got lactolose from the Dr too aswell as fybogel but the lactolose was giving me really really bad tummy cramps every night and read on the bottle that it can cause that so i stopped it and just stuck to my fybogel :) x
