I'm looking at getting a travel system, don't necessarily need the carry cot bit just pushchair and car seat set? But there are soooo many to choose from, does anybody have any recommendations?

Looking at spending no more then £400?

xx

Before I got my silver cross these were 4 of the ones I was looking at.

Thank you for your responses!

I will look into the tutti bambini one, I haven't seen that one.

The Chicco urban was one I looked at as I think it had a few good reviews.

I think I'm overthinking it too - I don't think I'm ever going to find the 'perfect' pushchair! It's down to personal preference I guess!

I will definitely have to go and have a look at a few xx

Defo go and view some, I was surprised at how different they all were.

I was also thinking of going for the car seat and pushchair option without carry cot but then I found out you can only leave them in the car seat for a short amount of time so that ruled out using it as part of a travel system for us as they would be in it for too long. Then I discovered you can get lay flat car seats that eliminate that problem (but of course they are much more expensive). So then I decided we would get a birth to 4 year car seat (which you can't use as part of a travel system) but works out cheaper in the long run...! It really is a total minefield!

In the end I got a good deal in the sales and got a carrycot and pushchair, plus a bonus was the carrycot says it can be used for occasional overnight sleeping, so hopefully we will get some day time naps in it and save me having to carry the moses basket downstairs.

Also check reviews online after you've tried them out yourself, turns out one i really liked had wider back wheels than standard and people struggled in shops and getting through doors (i think it was the mothercare orb, I think)

Also if you can get your husband or mother or MIL anyone who will be pushing the pram to have a go too to see if they are comfortable with it. My husband hated certain ones which I loved but now he loves pushing the pram cause he helped picked it.

We went for the Joie chrome with carry cot and a carseat which is interchangeable too. Very cheap on offer in mothercare and its excellent, we are out walking everyday and its doing great. The handle is extendable (my husband is very tall) has swivel front wheels which I highly recommend and a large basket. Its a dream to collapse going into a car. I wanted practicality as we dont drive and would be using the pram a lot. I knew id be out long periods so needed the carry cot, I'm definitely getting my wear out of it though so I don't mind.

Good luck with deciding!

Thank you! I'm still scrolling the internet for ones that have great reviews but it's difficult- most of the Ones I've looked at some people love it and some people hate it! Reviews are always so mixed!

I drive so I do want one that folds easily and will fit in my car obviously.

I do prefer the look of the 3 wheeler bigger wheel type ones but haven't seen any that are rated very highly yet!

Hmmmm!!

xx

We got the Cossato giggle2.

We got it on offer in Jan with a free car seat for £470. That offer has ended now, but not sure how much it would be for just chassis, car seat and pushchair. They do loads of funky designs too.

If you can, I would recommend going to a store like mother care or babies r us and having a play about with the different ones and see what you like.

I think we're going to go for the icandy peach all terrain as they seem quite easy to manoeuvre/fold up and we can run with it :)

I was very close to getting the Giggle 2, I found it for £420 all in inc car seat!

However, having read a lot of reviews about it not being great for rural areas, we have two dogs and live by the sea and a lot of places we walk are 'off road' so will need it to be able to handle more than just pavement walking... so undecided!

Have also considered the 'out n about V4' which seems great for what we need but would mean dealing with punctures which is a downside!

So I'm still none the wiser, I'm going to pop to Mothercare on Saturday and have a look at a few!

we're looking at the mothercare journey, i had the mothercare xcursion with my daughter and it was great had the carrycot option at just a few pushes of clips etc and could easily attach carseat to the frame of the pushchair and faced both parent and world.
its the same with the journey one as well, i'm going to put the order in soon from very i did want the black frame but think i might just go for the silver frame.
we're defo need to get ordering this soon as i had to have my daughter at 35 weeks 6 days due to pre-eclampsia an we didnt even have the pushchair until OH ordered it the night Mia was born and it got delivered the very next day lol so we were lucky.

gonna need to get sweet talking OH and order it the weekend :D

We are rural too and went with the Phil&Teds Navigator v2. It's great off road and has a pop kerb front wheel which means you don't have to lift it to go up kerbs. We bought the carrycot attachment too. If you use wheel slime on the wheels it prevents punctures.

I was looking at the Phil&Ted ones, They so look good. My MIL is very keen on the silver cross pioneer (she is paying for the pushchair) I do like them but they're expensive and not sure what they're like for rural areas? xx

I like the look of the Pioneers but not sure if they would cope with the mud, dirt, stones etc and we go on a lot of walks off piste so it was important for us that the wheels were big enough to cope.

If you haven't already, go in and push some around to get a feel.

We are going to mothercare later to have a look at a few! Hopefully get a better idea of what I want and hopefully rules some out! lol xxx
